Job Responsibilities
The summer intern would work under mentorship of Senior Design Engineer. Participate in assembly, testing, and evaluation of engineering prototypes. Conduct upfront engineering system research for new to market products. Utilize SolidWorks CAD program to generate and update engineering documentation.
Requirements
Major: Mechanical Engineering College classification: Sophomore or Junior. Able to use Excel, Word and MS Project to complete assigned tasks. A working familiarity with SolidWorks is preferrable. Candidate should have excellent communication skills since they will be interfacing with team members in Baltimore and in Fenton.

The summer intern would work under mentorship of a senior scientist / Supervisor to perform collaborative research for development adhesives or repair products with unique and differentiated properties.
The intern will work on Water-based exterior high-performance sealant development and/or new packaging options for kitchen & bath as well as related performance evaluations. Will involve making batches in mixing equipment and testing properties such as texture, density, viscosity and pH. Test specimen substrates also will be constructed according to ASTM specifications for performance testing of compounded sealants. Summarize results collected during the summer and present data/ analysis to R&D group. Actual project(s) at time of hire tbd.
Requirements
Major: Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Sophomore, Junior, or Senior. General lab skills (weighing materials on benchtop scale, transferring liquids/solids from one container to another, adherence to lab safety rules). Formulating, mixing, ability to research test methods and raw materials.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects associated with a construction-related project.
This will include but is not limited to, General Contracting projects, larger-scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, TremCares, etc.
This will involve working with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician assigned to the project to ensure the project is effectively executed anc completed safely, and all contractual obligations are adhered to.

Establish timelines and goals. Manage key metrics and report as required. Coordinate with Program Managers, Project Administrators, Project Estimators, Specification Writers, Sales Representatives, and RBM when needed. Direct Project Superintendents as needed.

Specification Development Stage:

Pre-Proposal Stage:
Conducts Pre-Proposal Meeting and distributes completed Pre-Proposal Meeting documentation to all applicable parties. Assist the Construction Manager in reviewing proposals. Prepare Proposal Documents as directed by the Construction Manager.
Pre-Construction Stage:
Publish the Project Schedule. Assists Construction Manager in planning and coordinating the Pre-Construction Meeting. Engages with the Project Superintendent to provide necessary project information. Conducts Pre-Construction Meetings and distributes completed Pre-Construction Meeting documentation to all applicable parties. Obtain Building Permit when required.
Construction Stage:
Review Daily Inspection Forms and ensure they are distributed to all applicable parties and uploaded into project files. Visits job site as necessary or directed by the Construction Manager. Conduct weekly Progress Meetings, virtual or onsite, and distribute meeting minutes to all applicable parties.
Maintain Project Schedule and update on a weekly basis. Perform site audits as appropriate. Review subcontractor payment requests with the Construction Manager. Assemble AIA billing applications for the Construction Manager's review and approval. Assist the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, Subcontractor, Owner, or Sales Representative as needed.
Close Out Stage:
Assist the Construction Manager in coordinating the final inspection. Ensure all required documents are uploaded into the project files.
Other Requirements:

This includes calculating costs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and any other expenses associated with the project.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Engineer Intern (EI) Certification Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of industry-specific experience. Experience with construction drafting in AutoCAD. EI certification with the ability to obtain a PE license preferred. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge preferred. Experience with a programming language (VBA, C#, etc.) preferred. Act as a super user and the main point of contact for all internal PIM users across various departments, including product marketing, sales, and IT.
Provide user training and support. Collaborate closely with e-commerce sales teams to ensure alignment with downstream channel requirements. Manage the collection, maintenance, and distribution of product data for several categories of hardware and home improvement products. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of product information across all digital platforms and channels. Own the uploading of digital assets across PIM and DAM platforms, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of metadata throughout the process. Maintain and update product data feeds for third-party website integrations. Develop and implement best practices for data governance to maintain high data integrity. Conduct regular audits and quality checks of product data and digital assets. Manage the translation of product marketing content and manage the distribution of the translated materials. Facilitate communication between departments to streamline processes and ensure timely updates. Work with IT to implement and update data mapping and improve internal processes. Lead process improvement and innovation initiatives in data management workflows. Drive the lifecycle of digital assets to effectively support marketing and sales initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of experience in product information management (PIM), digital asset management (DAM), or similar SaaS environments, ideally within the hardware and home improvement industry. Expertise with systems such as inriver, WebDam, and Acquia; experience in product categorization, taxonomy, and metadata management; adept at data manipulation using Excel. Knowledge of e-commerce best practices for product display pages. Exceptional project and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
