I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading FinTech company in Newcastle that is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where you'll play a key role in enhancing automation, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the company's infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring seamless operations across development and production environments.
Your role will involve:
Writing and maintaining scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Developing with C#, Java, or Python, with either prior software development experience or the ability to code when needed.
Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
Managing containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
Setting up and maintaining monitoring solutions such as ELK, Grafana, or similar.
Managing CI/CD pipelines with TeamCity.
Working with Microsoft SQL Server to ensure optimal database performance.
Administering both Windows and Linux environments.
Communicating clearly and professionally with both clients and internal teams.
What They're Looking For:
Strong scripting skills with PowerShell or another scripting language.
Hands-on experience with at least one programming language: C#, Java, or Python.
Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
Solid experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).

Must be computer literate with experience using technology and customer relationship management software (Salesforce.com), and Microsoft 365.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, and depending on the task, may also require ear protection, respirators, safety harnesses, and specialized protective clothing, while on the worksite. Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager based in North England:
Identify, qualify, and win new business opportunities across target markets, with a 60% focus on hunting new customers and 40% on key account management
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline focused on PCB assembly, contract manufacturing, surface mount, box build, and sheet metal services
Expand relationships with existing customers to maximise business potential across design, production, and quality divisions
Collaborate closely with Estimating and Production teams to ensure competitive, timely quotes and customer satisfaction
Respond promptly to sales enquiries and follow up proactively
Coordinate business development efforts across all group divisions and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships

Skills and experience required for the Business Development Manager based in North England:
Provable experience in electronics manufacturing sales, preferably contract manufacturing or PCB assembly
Proven track record of successful new business development and key account management
Strong commercial awareness and target-driven mindset with excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Established network of contacts within the PCB and defence sectors is essential
Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work independently and on the road
Fully computer literate with mainstream software proficiency
Full UK driving licence required
Desirable:
Degree qualified (preferred but not essential)
Experience selling into Medical Device, Aerospace, Military & Defence, Life Science, Space, Automotive, Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Maritime, Industrial Equipment, or Networking sectors
Familiarity with integrated manufacturing environments offering design, manufacturing, and assembly services
