The Maintenance Planner offers a basic salary of £39,500 working for a PLC listed market leading manufacturer based at their Throckley factory near Newcastle.
The Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Site Engineering Manager and Engineering Team Leaders, to maximize the performance of engineering operations and will be responsible for the work planning of the maintenance team and contract labour, including shutdowns and PPMs. What's in it for you as a Maintenance Planner:

Main duties of the Maintenance Planner:
The leadership of the maintenance shutdown coordination, establishing best engineering practices
Control and populate the engineering shift plan for all engineering personnel across all disciplines including contractors
To chair weekly scheduling meetings for planned activities
Control, populate and prioritise a work backlog for all maintenance activities or activities involving the engineering team
Key involvement with the implementation of a new CMMS system and T-card system
Work closely with the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, and Operational Managers to provide a schedule of work for shift engineers to maintain and improve the reliability of assets
Liaise with production, services, and central functions, to ensure that routine maintenance is planned, and job requests are executed and costed efficiently and effectively
Ensure that equipment removed from the plant, which is being repaired in-house, is coordinated through the shift plan, Work Orders allocated to the repair of each item and appropriate cost captured
Control of accurate records and documentation for all production and auxiliary plant including insurance records
Coordinate and site contact for Contractors to ensure safe and controlled activities are completed on-site and to the quality of engineering standards

As a Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of maritime implementation projects across the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) maritime fleet, including the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and other UK MOD/UK Government vessels.
The role will involve managing multiple concurrent or sequential installation projects, ensuring smooth project execution from initial stages through completion.
This role is located in Redhill.

Duties and responsibilities of the Project manager / Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Delivery Manager:
• Overall management of several concurrent or sequential maritime installation projects.
• Production of Equipment Guidance Packages (EGP), Installation Guidance Packages (IGP), and Modification Leaflets based on engineering designs, surveys, and stakeholder input.
• Reporting project progress internally, including updates on schedule, risks, and opportunities.
• Attend customer meetings, managing dependencies and ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordination of equipment procurement and configuration management to meet implementation deadlines.
• Work with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure that equipment and services are delivered on time.
• Improvement of project management processes and support for other project managers to ensure successful a project.
• Representing the company at key customer meetings and project briefings.
Qualifications and requirements for the Project manager / Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Delivery Manager :
• Project management experience with the UK MOD or other UK government departments.
• Experience in UK MOD maritime electrical installation projects.
• Technical expertise in electrical/electronic, IT networking equipment, and satellite communications.
• Ability to write Equipment Guidance Packages (EGPs), Installation Guidance Packages (IGPs), and Modification Leaflets to a high standard.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel as required

Responsibilities:
Design, optimize, and implement application hosting solutions in both Azure cloud and on-premise data centers that meet the demands of the business.
Evaluate the current and upcoming infrastructure stack from a security perspective and provide hardening recommendations.

Active Directory domain consolidations
Coordinates and supports information security efforts in server, virtualization and storage.
This includes working with application developers and database administrators to plan and implement application security within application environments.
Thus providing guidance on risks and vulnerabilities related to common application protocols, web services security, and end user systems.
Scripting and automation of application hosting and storage maintenance
Disaster and Site Recovery
Take part in life cycle management/ refresh of equipment
Systems management and alerting, which may include nonbusiness hours on-call support rotation as needed.
Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering and/or application development to restore service and/or identify problems
Assist with other facets of IT operations and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
10+ years in engineering role for application hosting for global entities with $3B+ in annual revenue.
10+ years with MS Server and Virtualization platforms (VMWare & MS Hypervisor)
10+ years with mass storage units (HP Storage, IBM storage, etc.)
10+ years with ITIL processes and industry best practices for application hosting
5+ years with Azure IaaS and PaaS experience
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent education.
Excellent oral and written communication
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage and deliver multiple priorities in a timely fashion.
Ability to support cross-team collaboration to ensure your focus area integrates with the overall solutions.
Experience with IBM Power Systems and AS400 is a plus.
MCSE, Security, ITIL, and/or Azure certifications are a plus.
Salary: $145,000 - $170,000, bonus eligible
