Responsibilities:
Case handling: handling your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters of varying values.
You will be responsible for handling your own workload, and assisting on more complex matters such as birthing injuries, brain and spinal injuries where required.
The firm are really supportive, and will work with you to progress to handling your own complex matters when ready.
Client care: The firm don't pay for their work, they have an excellent reputation and source their work directly.
This is due to the expert level of client care provided at all times, and what is expected of any new employee.
Dealing with litigation when required: the firm try to settle their cases outside of court when possible, but sometimes this isn't possible.
Successful candidates will be confident litigators, who can navigate the court process and prepare counsel for trial.
Negotiating settlement.
Requirements:
A qualified Solicitor ideally with 2-4 years' post qualifying experience gained in a claimant or defendant clinical negligence environment.
Candidates with less PQE but significant pre-qualifying experience will also be considered.
Confident, friendly and supportive. Someone who can confidently provide legal advice to clients, while remaining friendly, supportive and approachable.
Based local to Newcastle.
