Job Summary
Lead the collection and analysis of user data to guide strategic decisions across Rust-Oleum's consumer and professional brands.
Reporting to the Vice President of Insights & Category Management, this role partners with product, sales, and marketing to turn user behaviors and market trends into actionable strategies that drive innovation and growth.
The ideal candidate is curious, research-driven, and passionate about championing the voice of the user.

Key Responsibilities
Lead User Research Initiatives: Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research programs, including surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and usability testing, to uncover deep insights into user behaviors, pain points, and preferences across DIY consumers, professional contractors, and industrial applicators.
Analyze and Synthesize Data: Leverage advanced analytics tools to interpret complex datasets from multiple sources (e.g., market reports, sales data, social listening, and competitive intelligence), identifying trends and opportunities to inform product development, pricing, and positioning.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers and sales teams to integrate user insights into business cases, new product launches -ensuring solutions align with real user needs and deliver measurable ROI.
Communicate Insights Effectively: Develop compelling storytelling through reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership, translating data into strategic recommendations that support brand growth goals and enhance brand loyalty.
Manage Vendor and Team Relationships: Oversee external research partners, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning while ensuring projects stay on budget and timeline.
Drive Innovation: Champion user feedback loops in NPD processes, from concept ideation to post-launch evaluation, contributing to Rust-Oleum's legacy of problem-solving innovation.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business Analytics, Psychology, or a related field; MBA or advanced certification in Consumer Insights strongly preferred.
Experience: 7+ years in consumer insights, market research, or user experience roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity managing research projects or small teams.
Proven track record in CPG, manufacturing, or coatings industries; experience with diverse user segments (consumer and B2B) is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in research tools (e.g., Toluna, Recollective), analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI), and statistical software (e.g., SPSS).
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for data visualization and storytelling.
Soft Skills: Natural curiosity and passion for understanding user motivations; excellent verbal and written communication to influence stakeholders; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
Experience conducting in-field research with hands-on applicators (e.g., contractors using industrial coatings). Familiarity with sustainability and other current trends in consumer products and their impact on user decision-making. Background in agile methodologies for rapid insight iteration. Support the region as needed when weather conditions prevent the fulfillment of daily job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience: 7+ years in consumer insights, market research, or user experience roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity managing research projects or small teams.
Proven track record in CPG, manufacturing, or coatings industries; experience with diverse user segments (consumer and B2B) is highly desirable.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of process and facility-related equipment.
Equipment inspection includes preventative maintenance (PM) and associated documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with all safety policies (especially Cardinal Rules - e.g.
Hot Work, LOTO, Confined Space),
Partner with Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Manager to support LEAN initiatives to eliminate unplanned production interruptions due to process equipment failure,
Implement the needed preventative measures, including optimization of PM program,
Ensure reliable operation of facility support processes and utilities (i.e.
HVAC, Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Tow motors, Cooling Towers, Hot Oil Heaters),
Diagnose/Troubleshoot, repair/replace and maintain facility electrical systems (e.g.
programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, lighting) and components (e.g.
sensors, switches, valves),
Diagnose/Troubleshoot, repair/replace and maintain facility mechanical systems (e.g.
product vessels/reactors, pumps) and components (e.g.
piping, manual valves),
Investigate equipment/process failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation,
Assist Maintenance Supervisor to arrange and coordinate contractor tasks (including equipment rental) to support facility and process maintenance/repairs,
Serve, as needed, on process hazard analysis (PHA) teams/sessions
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required
EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school and 1-2 years' experience OR
High School Diploma and 4 years' experience
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
People Interaction - Ability to work with diverse groups to reach consensus regarding problems, and needed changes.
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Electrical - Knowledge of circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, switches, including their connectivity to mechanical systems, uses, repair and troubleshooting.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Diagnostic Services Manager oversees the strategic direction, operational execution, and quality assurance of diagnostic roofing services across North America.
This role ensures the delivery of best-in-class diagnostics, including infrared, nuclear, and visual inspections, while managing regional teams, training programs, and customer engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Strategy: Lead regional diagnostic teams to ensure consistent delivery of services across all major markets. Collaborate with Division Managers and Field Supervisors to optimize manpower utilization and profitability. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand diagnostic capabilities and coverage. Training & Development: Oversee onboarding and field training of new hires, including shadowing and certification in diagnostic tools and techniques. Maintain training standards in collaboration with corporate trainers and external partners (e.g., Infraspection Institute). Operations & Quality Control: Coordinate staffing and scheduling of diagnostic technicians across regions. Ensure proper documentation and quality control of all diagnostic jobs to meet customer satisfaction and compliance standards.
