The Role of the Territory Manager
Field based role visiting hospitals on patch
Selling procedure packs and other supplies to surgeons, clinicians and theatre staff
Visiting theatre departments mainly but there’s business to look after in critical care and other departments
Identifying opportunities to introduce new products to existing accounts.
Winning new customers
All sales within hospital
Patch is East and West Midlands area

The Ideal Person for the Territory Manager
Ideally have some clinical or sales experience in the Operating Theatre environment- but not essential!
Will consider a graduate at early stages of their sales career looking to break into medical sales
A relationship builder who can challenge and influence the customer
Someone who is confident to engage with and influence the customer
Someone who is commercially minded and wants to progress their career with a business on the up.
Someone happy with extensive travel.
Happy to look at a more junior person who is looking to cut their teeth in this role with no prior experience.
Ideally a science graduate with some customer facing or sales experience.

The Role of the Territory Manager
Selling a range of vascular products- (Veins and Arteries).
Portfolio consists of stents, coils, wires, catheters.
Selling to Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgeon, Consultants and Nurses (Small amount into urology).
Maintaining a business plan to maximise achievement of company sales, profit margins and product targets for their territory.
To have a comprehensive knowledge of the businesses of which they work within, along with regards to product range, technical specifications, prices, features, benefits, clinical applications and sales strategies.
Education of all customers (and team members) in the practical features, benefits, handling of product, new technologies and the techniques employed in using the equipment.
Scan for and report on competitors activity on their territory.
Promoting and where required supporting nurse study days, exhibitions and workshops on the territory.
Maintain and continue to develop the necessary skills and product knowledge by on-going self-development in the job function, to augment the training that the company provides and ensure that all company sponsored training is implemented.
Excellent professsional appearance and presentation, ensuring that the correct attire is worn for the area of work, i.e.
business suit, scrubs, etc.
To communicate regularly with the National Sales Manager and attend planned conference calls and monthly sales meetings.
Area covers the North West/M62 Corridor

The Ideal Person for the Territory Manager
2 Years proven medical devices sales
Will also consider someone new into medical devices sales if you can prove you have the right attitude and willing to learn
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite software and the internet.
A full driving licence.
You must be highly organised and able to prioritise and strategically develop business opportunities.
Growth mind-set.
The ability to self-motivate and have that hunger in the belly.
Big on personality and looking for people that can bring something to the business.

Selling a range of cold chain provider & storage solutions (Freezers, Refrigeration, Temp Controlled Transport box's, Incubators & Safety Cabinets)
They also supply a range of complementary products such as CO2 incubators and clean air cabinets including Class 2 microbiological safety cabinets.
Selling into the Life Sciences sector (R&D, Biotech, Pharma, etc.
- These products are not used in a hospital environment.)
Selling into Labs
Area has been well looked after for past 2 years
Equipment can cost anywhere between £500-£20k and sales cycle can be anything between 2 weeks to 3 months.
Bigger projects can take longer
The Ideal Person for the Territory Sales Manager
Experience of selling into Life Sciences essential.
Ideally capital equipment but not a must.
Experience of selling some form of lab-based products.
Proven track record of success in sales.
Knowledge of the area and who to target.
Life Science based degree.
Can do attitude.
