We're seeking a Registered Manager to open, establish and lead a newly renovated 3 bedded service located in Wisbech, Cambridge for children aged 8-12 years.
This will be an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and development for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as well as emotional, behavioural, and complex needs.
About the role:
As the Registered Manager, reporting to the Responsible Individual/Director of Care Quality & Governance, you will:
Provide confident, trauma-informed leadership to staff team and young people.
Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes emotional, social and educational development for each child.
Recruit, induct and retain a high-quality staff team with the necessary skills and values for working with vulnerable children.
Oversee staffing, training, supervisions, appraisals and professional development.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and emotional resilience.
Lead the home's strategic planning, setting objectives and measurable outcomes in line with organisational and regulatory expectations.
Maintain an up-to-date Statement of Purpose and ensure all operations reflect its aims and values.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations.
Lead safeguarding efforts as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) including response to disclosures, incidents and concerns in line with Working together to Safeguard Children and in line with local authority safeguarding partnership procedures.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and emotional resilience.
Manage budgets, audits, inspections, and operational processes.
Build effective partnerships with families, professionals, and external agencies.
About You:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting with 1+ years at supervisory/Deputy/management level.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children's Home Regulations and therapeutic care.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting children with trauma, challenging behaviour, and complex needs.
Full UK driving licence is desirable.
Flexibility to be part of the on-call rota (some evenings/weekends).
Knowledge of SEND and multi-agency working.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Make all intermediates and finished products by adding specific quantities of certain raw materials and/or intermediates to a batch tank or grinding mill according to a written formula using proper batch making techniques and safe methods.
This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Compiles, tabulates and summarizes QC data for analysis.
Prepares and offers constructive criticisms relative to variables and deviations from prescribed standards of quality.
Maintains statistical records having to do with quality, nature and causes of defects.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Consult with Main Lab chemist on products more than 10% out of product specifications Upon approval of product record data onto Quality Control car and enter information into computer data base Consult QC manual for specific requirements for product analysis of production batches and customers special requirements Calibrate QC equipment as required Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.

Direct responsibility for Profit and Loss within the District, including weekly Accounts Receivable follow up.
Hire, train, develop, motivate, and shape image of Territory Managers.
Conduct quarterly TM plan and review sessions.
