An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asbestos Surveyor to join a well-established pharmaceutical R&D company focused on developing innovative solutions for healthcare and drug discovery.
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will undertake detailed asbestos surveys in commercial and industrial settings, offering technical expertise to clients and ensuring all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
This is a full-time role working 5 days a week (within M25 area) offering benefits and a salary range of £37,000 - £41,000.
They are not seeking senior surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct a range of asbestos surveys, including management, refurbishment, demolition, and re-inspections
* Collect and log bulk samples in accordance with guidelines
* Prepare, review, and validate survey reports
* Provide support for audits and re-survey projects as required
* Supervise licensed asbestos removal contractors and ensure health and safety compliance
* Participate in a weekend rota (approximately 1 in 6), with paid overtime
What We Are Looking For:
* Previously worked as an Asbestos Supervisor, Asbestos Surveyor, Asbestos Analyst, Asbestos Consultant, Asbestos Specialist, Asbestos Removal Operative, Asbestos Operative or in a similar role.
* Have at least 2 years of experience.
* BOHS P402 or equivalent RSPH qualifications
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence

The Role of the Field Service & Maintenance Engineer
The company supply a range of Cold Storage Solutions (Freezers, Refrigeration, Temp Controlled Transport box's, Incubators & Safety Cabinets).
40 hours per week - Monday-Friday.
This is a field-based maintenance engineer role maintaining and servicing their market-leading refrigeration and related lab equipment.
Most of this equipment is in academia, pharma, research & healthcare settings.
Equipment covered is Refrigeration from cold rooms to ice machines to cryogenic freezers, and vaccine/blood storage solutions, clean air - air purifiers, biological safety cabinets and laminar flow - CO2 incubators, incubators and ovens & centrifuges
You will be covering the whole of the UK, but most of your work will be in the Midlands and the South East.
Some travel away from home for short periods is required.
Their service offering covers all makes and models, not just own brand.
In addition to planned calls, you will attend reactive calls.
There will also be times where you will need to go to head office or repair/refurnish equipment that will be resold.
You will also be expected to promote the full portfolio of products and service offerings when attending customer sites.
The company encourage input and any recommendations to the service department on changes for cost
Savings and performance improvements.
Coordinate with the customer care team to ensure effective planning, organisation and delivery of service call schedule.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and reports using service software.
Adherence to health and safety practices and procedures.
The Ideal Person for the Field Service & Maintenance Engineer
Very much personality led
You will ideally have a minimum of 2-years’ maintenance experience
Alternatively, you may be a commercial refrigeration engineer (FGAS qualified), looking for a new and rewarding challenge
Will also consider good, qualified field service engineers with a desire to get into the medical sector
Ability to work under pressure
Technical and problem-solving skills
FGAS certified 2079/City and Guilds Refrigeration and Air Conditioning would be an advantage
Strong organization skills
Ability to build relationships with customers with the tact and diplomacy required to deal with customers in a stressful situation and provide confident assurance
Self-confidence and ability to work independently or as a member of a team
Knowledge of GLP, GMP and other practices and legislation relevant to product area e.g.
MHRA, HTA guidelines

The International Regulatory Specialist is responsible for providing regulatory support to Rust-Oleum's international business.
The international business encompasses the entire range of our company's products, including paints, coatings, and cleaners.
This position involves reviewing chemicals, product formulations, and labels to ensure global compliance.
In addition, this position serves as Rust-Oleum's lead for chemical registrations for import into various countries.
Responsibilities include communicating with sales teams, suppliers, and consultants, completion and maintenance of chemical registrations, and proactively staying informed about and implementing emerging regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide global compliance support to sales teams in multiple regions such as Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin/Central America, Middle East, and Africa
Support new product launches by reviewing chemical/supplier information for global compliance and authoring compliant Safety Data Sheets using Product Vision software and provide label requirements
Review existing product lines for global compliance
Work with suppliers to register chemicals to allow company's products to enter new marketplaces
Renew/maintain and complete periodic reporting for existing registrations
Track global regulations that will impact Rust-Oleum's products
Classify products for transportation according to DOT, IMDG, and IATA regulation
