The Role of the Sales Estimator
Take ownership of pricing complex healthcare and HVAC-related construction projects
Liaise with design and estimation teams to analyse technical briefs and develop bid strategies
Manage the tendering process including subcontractor and supplier pricing
Produce clear and accurate tender submissions, cost reports, and project estimates
Support procurement at project delivery stage, negotiating and placing purchase orders
Conduct site visits to assess technical requirements and site conditions
Play an active part in developing standard quote tools and internal estimating systems
Provide insight to strengthen the supply chain and improve commercial workflows
The Ideal Person for the Sales Estimator
Engineering-qualified or equivalent with 5+ years of estimating experience in HVAC or construction
Background in delivering cleanroom, hospital, or lab projects is highly beneficial
Well-versed in reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
Able to manage bids from enquiry through to submission confidently and independently
Skilled in material take-offs, pricing strategies, and subcontractor coordination
Strong communicator with a keen eye for accuracy and commercial risk
Comfortable working both autonomously and within a close-knit team
