The role
Fugro have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Oceanographer to join our talented Metocean Modelling and Analysis team based in the Wallingford office.
You will be using meteorological and oceanographic data to conduct accurate analysis and deliver high quality reports using state of the art software or using your knowledge to develop new analysis processes.
Contributing to the team effort and working independently you will be responsible for the critical processing and quality control of metocean data, using your initiative to effectively problem solve as required.
Some commercial awareness and experience is important for this role in recognising and meeting clients needs.

Essential
Master's or PhD in Oceanography or related discipline.
3 to 8 years of work experience in relevant roles.
Proficient in English (verbal and written).
Desirable
Line management experience.
Experience in programming in MATLAB or Python.
