The Role of the Territory Manager
Great opportunity for a territory manager in a newly created division for a portfolio of patient-lifting products.
Selling into the Ambulance & Post-Acute Care market (ambulance services - 13 of these across the UK, Community Equipment Stores, Community, Care Homes, District nurses.)
Will have the support of 5 x Telesales people to generate leads for you (You will be expected to generate your own leads as well)
Very strong pipeline, supported by telesales to generate qualified leads.
The plan will be to increase the number of reps as this business unit grows
For now a national role

The Ideal Person for the Territory Manager
Background - experience selling to Ambulance Services and/or Post-Acute Services (Care Homes) would be an advantage
Proven sales track record showing suitable over achievement of targets from within the Falls Management market segment in the UK, or related industries
Knowledge and understanding of acute, community, and Falls Management services

The Ideal Person for the Territory Sales Manager
Ideally endoscopy, someone that has sat on the shoulder of the surgeons.
You will need to be a strong team player.
Perhaps ortho as a similar type of sales role.
Looking for someone preferably with metal stents sales experience from a competitor but this is not a prerequisite.
The ideal candidate is someone up and coming, energetic and looking to make a name for themselves.
You will come ideally from medical sales role associated with the organs.
So cardio, Radio, endo, neuro etc.
Not necessarily spine/ortho.
Looking for people that are curious, wanting to learn and not scared of asking questions.
Lots of energy and a can-do attitude.
An understanding of surgical procedures.
A science related degree would be a huge advantage (Bio Science degree would be a big advantage).

The Territory Manager is required to promote, sell, and ensure formulary compliance for products in the range in both the acute and community for the defined Sales Territory to ensure Sales targets are achieved.
It is important to work closely with the Clinical Nurse Advisors and Business Development Managers within the team to enhance your sales success
Participation with the Regional Business Manager, Clinical Nurse Advisor and Business Development Manager in the development and implementation of local business plans with the aim of achieving high compliance with new Formulary Awards and driving market share growth to achieve sales targets.
Close working with the Business Development Manager & Clinical Nurse Advisor within the Region to ensure all hospital and community Formularies are secured and fully compliant.
Covering the Northumberland, Stockon-on-Tees, Clevland, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Darlington & North Cumbria
The Ideal Person for the Territory Manager
Wound care experience both acute and community
Will also consider pharma, devices or medical consumables.
Need to understand the NHS buying landscape
Understands the prescription route
Confident product demonstrator
Solid communication skills especially with anatomy & physiology
Someone used to selling into hospitals, quick learner, have a sense of urgency.
You will need to be a strong team player.
The ideal candidate is energetic and looking to make a name for themselves.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding challenging targets
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite software and the internet
A full driving licence

The Role of the Territory Manager
Our client sells a range of advanced wound care dressings, absorbents, skin protectants, peak flow meters, gloves, & surgical tapes
70% of the business will be in the community + 30% in the NHS/Acute
To promote, sell and ensure proper distribution of products from the product portfolio in both the Acute and Community.
To reach sales targets for the Sales Territory using effective communication methods in a manner that ensures ethical commercial approach, as well as adherence to corporate vision and guidelines.
