Cyber Security Technical Lead Engineer - Kempston - £75,000

We're working with one of the largest systems integrators in the world - renowned for their experience working in security, aerospace and defence for high profile clients around the world.



We're looking for a Lead or Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their Bedford based team, working as part of their network management software team, working to keep their customers information secure.



You will monitor cyber frameworks, define and implement Cyber Security policies and best practices - working hand in hand with the product development team - as well as leading vulnerability activities and red/blue team works.



We're looking for a wide technical background, in depth security knowledge and an understanding of some or all of the below





    • Industrial Automation

    • Mechanical/material handling

    • Conveyor systems

    • Pneumatics

    • Hydraulics

    • Robotics

    • Control systems

    • Electrical power systems






What are we looking for?



  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by NIST, DISA (STIGs) and ISO

  • Experience in security engineering involving various computer hardware and software operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.

  • Experience in security engineering involving various computer hardware and software operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.

  • Experience with IA vulnerability testing related network and system test tools (e.g.

    ACAS, Retina, Nessus, SCAP).

  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by NIST, DISA (STIGs) and ISO

  • Experience with IA vulnerability testing related network and system test tools (e.g.

    ACAS, Retina, Nessus, SCAP).

  • Experience working U.S.

    Government contract proposals as a cyber security subject matter expert.

  • Security related Network and Operating System certification or training.

  • Certifications aren't essential for this role, however OSCP, CISSP, GPEN or similar will set you apart from the competition.

  • Any experience in software development such as C# or REST API's would also be a benefit.
