Pharmacy Technician - Permanent

Maxxima have recently partnered with a leading private hospital. We are currently looking for a Pharmacy Technician who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service.

This post is based in Lincoln, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice.

Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

Your main responsibilities as a Pharmacy Technician:

- Dispense prescriptions previously vetted by a Pharmacist to ensure the items are supplied accurately according to the prescriber's and/or pharmacist's instructions, and according to Trust Policies
- Stock items repackaged and relabelled, before distribution to the wards
- Dispense validated standard worksheets for extemporaneous and aseptic dispensing, before final release by a Pharmacist
- Pre-filled chemotherapy syringes against a vetted prescription
- Support with ingredients assembled for chemotherapy dispensing against a vetted worksheet
- Manufacture, dispense and give advice on pharmaceutical products
- Work efficiently and safely both on wards and in the department, under the supervision of a Pharmacist, adhering to all laid down policies and procedures

What we are looking for in a Pharmacy Technician:

- GPHC registered
- Experience in a hospital Pharmacy
- Competence in dispensing of Cytotoxics, TPN, CIVA, CD’s and prescriptions for inpatients, outpatients, TTO’s and stock supplies
