Commercial Debt Litigator

Our client, a leading law firm in the heart of Leeds, is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Debt Litigator to join their commercial litigation team.

The role would suit a debt recovery candidate, who can confidently run a caseload of contested commercial debt recovery matters from the point of defence through to trial.

Responsibilities:

• Handling your own caseload of litigated commercial debt recovery cases from the point of defence through to trial and/ or settlement.


• Corresponding with clients, debtors and third parties.


• Responding to defences and counterclaims.


• Drafting of witness statements and completing trial bundles.


• Preparing cases for trial and drafting instructions to counsel.


• Adhering to court direction.


• Negotiating settlement.


• Dealing with post judgment formalities.

Requirements:

• Upwards of 4 years' experience handling a caseload of defended commercial debt recovery cases, candidates with defended consumer debt litigation experience are still encouraged to apply.

Salary to £45,000
