The setting is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child with Autism who is non-verbal, on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

Job Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will include:




  • Providing one-to-one support for a non-verbal child with Autism.




  • Implementing personalised learning strategies and supporting communication development.




  • Assisting the class teacher with adapting lessons to meet individual needs.




  • Encouraging social interaction, independence, and emotional wellbeing.




  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.




  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.





Qualifications/Experience

To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:




  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service.




  • The right to work in the UK.




  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with Autism is desirable.




  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature with strong communication skills.
