
Production Engineer
If youre a hands-on Production Engineer who enjoys problem solving and improving how things are made, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with real engineering depth.
Youll be working within a specialist manufacturing environment that designs and builds complex electrical and mechanical systems for critical industries from energy and defence to aerospace and nuclear.

What youll be doing:
- Providing production engineering support across the manufacturing team, ensuring products are built safely, on time and to the highest quality.
- Helping develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including Bills of Materials, routings, and assembly instructions.
- Creating or improving tooling, jigs, and fixtures to optimise assembly and test processes.
- Supporting bids and new projects with accurate manufacturing cost and time estimates.
- Working closely with design engineers to ensure drawings and documentation are production-ready.
- Driving continuous improvement from layout changes and new tooling through to Lean initiatives that cut waste and reduce build time.
- Investigating and resolving any production issues as they arise.
What youll need:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (or solid experience in a similar production support role).
- Experience within electro-mechanical or electrical manufacturing.
- Confident reading engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of BoMs and routings within an ERP/MRP system.
- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and tooling design (3D CAD experience is a plus).
- Good communication skills and a methodical, problem-solving mindset.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
