This is a newly created role due to the continuing growth of the business who are now operating in over 250 locations within the UK and producing over £500 million in turnover.
Your main area of focus will be to manage a large, aged debt portfolio of clients with particular emphasis on maintaining those relationships through tactful communication and negotiation when collecting payments.
You will be working in a close-knit team of 4 and report directly into the Credit Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity! For someone with a minimum of 2 years experience in Credit Control within a B2B or B2C environment looking to take the next step in their finance career.
DUTIES:
Liaising with customers via telephone and email to chase overdue debt
Managing a large, aged debt ledger including customers ranging from sole traders to national contractors
Maintain and develop excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
Ensuring timely payment of debts
Following up payments as needed
Negotiating re-payment plans
Responding to relevant customer enquiries
Processing and reconciliation of invoices and payments working alongside the parent companies finance department.
Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
Support adhoc Credit Office projects
THE PERSON:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Credit controller, Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable role
Experience of dealing with high value ledgers
Experience of working within a B2B environment would be beneficial but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Position Summary

Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for administering and coordinating all daily service center activities.
Essential Functions:
Handle all incoming calls including customers, providing directions to the Service Center, providing information regarding orders, routing calls to appropriate individuals to assure accurate information is provided. Run various reports as requested. Back up warehouse functions of cycle count during annual inventory. Communicates with the manufacturing plant, scheduling, shipment, and delivery of product.
May involve prioritizing and negotiating product availability, partial shipments, or splitting shipments. Follows up daily on order status and notifies CSRs or sales rep of any changes. Operates the LN computer system for Sales and Replenishment order shipments. Review orders for special requirements of customers and ensure that the information is conveyed to the appropriate warehousemen. Works with Corporate Traffic Department to make cost efficient shipments. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, Proficient in Microsoft Office 1-year prior office related work experience Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, along with an ability to work well with others and analyze data recognizing trends and taking action to improve.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules.
Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings. Monday- Friday 10:30am- 7:00 pm- Occasional a weekends base on workload
Physical Requirements:

What will you do?
A penchant for business development, working out of your own office, you'll meet & engage new and repeat customers in your territory; assessing their needs, you will provide a truly consultative Stonhard solution.
