The Role of the Field Service Engineer
Provide preventative, corrective, modification and installation support to customers on diagnostic products used in hospital labs and other departments within a hospital.
Diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical, fluidic, and electronic systems.
Covering a region of Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire.
Working with customers to ensure speedy and safe maintenance and repair.
Implementation and Support:?Installing, configuring, and maintaining the diagnostic equipment across NHS/University labs and private service providers.
Proactive Maintenance:?Engaging in planned preventative maintenance, coupled with real-time troubleshooting and repairs to ensure operational excellence.
Customer Training and Collaboration:?Enhancing customer confidence through training sessions and consultative services.
Reactive and Analytical Support:?Contributing through fault diagnosis, technical reviews, and administrative duties to build efficiency and reliability in customer operations.
Relationship Building:?Acting as an ambassador with professionalism and ensuring trust-based, long-term partnerships with customers.
The Ideal Person for the Field Service Engineer
Qualification equivalent to HNC/HND or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
A strong track record in servicing high-value capital equipment.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with technical, scientific, and numeric data.
Customer-first mindset: A confident, professional demeanour, paired with the ability to foster productive relationships and navigate complex environments effectively.

General Purpose:

* Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner and Tremco regulations throughout all Roofing regional projects. Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of Tremco Health and Safety programs in the field, to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met. Participate with and/or conduct Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees. Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance. Effectively represent our Tremco safety culture with our subcontractors and help Tremco site leadership to ensure complete compliance of our subcontractors to applicable rules and regulations (Federal, State, local, owner, Tremco and their own). Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure safety practices and policies are being adhered to effectively. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ Years of Construction experience with high school diploma. Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required. OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification required. Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations. Working Knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit a Daily Task Analysis for Employees and Subcontractors. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.
You will be home every weekend.

An opportunity has arisen for a Fit Out Operative to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation producing precision-engineered metal products and bespoke enclosures for a range of industrial clients.
As a Fit Out Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the installation and assembly of mechanical systems and components within a site-based environment.
This full-time permanent role offers a competitive salary and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the fitting, alignment, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems.
* Installing components such as pipework, ducting, supports, and brackets.
* Operating site machinery including forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
* Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and layout plans to ensure accurate assembly.
* Using hand and power tools to carry out mechanical installation tasks to a high standard.
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area in compliance with site safety procedures.
* Following all relevant health and safety guidelines, including safe lifting and working at height.
What we are looking for:
* Previously worked as a Fit Out Operative, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Operative, Mechanical Installe, Mechanical Engineer, Site Operative, Mechanical Technician, Fit Out Engineer, Mechanical Installation Engineer, Pipefitter or in a similar role.
* Proven experience in mechanical installation, fit-out, or utilities work.
* Valid licences or certification to operate FLT, scissor lift, and cherry picker.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent).
* Previous welding experience.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and technical drawings accurately.
* Strong awareness of manual handling and site safety practices.
Shift:
* Monday to Thursday: 7am to 4pm
* Friday: From 7am to 1pm
* Working hours: 40 per week
