Commercial Account Executive | Nottingham | Up to £50,000 | Hybrid

This independent brokerage has seen strong growth following a recent acquisition and is now looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join their Nottingham team.
It's a role designed for someone who's ready to move beyond day-to-day broking, manage their own clients, and gradually take on larger, more complex cases with plenty of support along the way.
You'll start by looking after a portfolio of established commercial clients, typically generating around £100,000 in income, with premiums averaging £1,500.
Most of your work will be desk-based initially - renewals, mid-term adjustments, client reviews -but as you build confidence, you'll transition into a more field-based position, with the chance to grow and develop your own client relationships.
The Role
Manage your own portfolio of SME clients, handling renewals, adjustments, and general servicing
Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high-quality advice and support
Collaborate with senior Account Executives to learn and develop your technical and client management skills
Gradually take on larger, more complex accounts with full support from the wider team
Ensure all activity is completed accurately and in line with FCA regulations

Deliver customer support through industrial trials, mill audits, special projects, data analysis, and detailed reporting to retain existing customers and attract new ones Compile and analyze industrial trial process data, and prepare detailed reports providing conclusions and action items from industrial trial runs. Keep thorough and updated records of activity history with active and potential cement additive customers. Design and execution of plant industrial trials and mill audits. Requirements
3-5 years sales experience in roofing and complimentary products Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required. Ability to work independently with new and existing clients to overcome typical sales objections (i.e.

Deliver customer support through industrial trials, mill audits, special projects, data analysis, and detailed reporting to retain existing customers and attract new ones Compile and analyze industrial trial process data, and prepare detailed reports providing conclusions and action items from industrial trial runs. Keep thorough and updated records of activity history with active and potential cement additive customers. Design and execution of plant industrial trials and mill audits. Maintenance and operation of portable pump equipment inventory to utilize during industrial trials. Collaborate with the Cement Additives Technical Manager and Cement Lab Manager to develop new products and enhance existing lines based on market trends, competitive analysis, and industrial trial results. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) or chemistry - master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement manufacturing process control or quality management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries. Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Service Control Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy service office.
This role plays a key part in ensuring that repair and maintenance activities are scheduled efficiently, completed to a high standard, and fully aligned with customer expectations.
You will oversee a team of controllers, providing real-time support, coaching, and quality checks to maintain consistently high performance.
By driving effective resource allocation, developing your team, and ensuring strong communication across departments, you will directly influence service reliability, customer satisfaction, and overall operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing as Service Control Supervisor
Overseeing daily service workloads and ensuring priorities are managed effectively.
Coaching and supporting Service Controllers on operational tasks, customer communication, and problem-solving.
Mentoring new and existing team members, ensuring consistent understanding of processes and standards.
Handling escalated customer or internal queries, delivering swift and positive resolutions.
Preparing accurate reporting for operational performance, efficiency, and resource utilisation.
Maximising the effective deployment of Field Service Engineers by considering geography, skillsets, and capacity.
Ensuring service activities are planned and delivered efficiently, minimising downtime.
Working closely with fleet and service teams to review feedback, drive improvements, and support service enhancement initiatives.
Leading consistent Quality Control checks to ensure service work meets required standards.
Maintaining strong documentation and ensuring transparency across all service activities.
Promoting high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and proactive management.
Collaborating with other departments on new projects, process improvements, and operational changes.
People Leadership
Setting clear objectives for team members and reviewing progress regularly through one-to-ones and appraisals.
Working in partnership with HR on performance, attendance, and people-related processes.
Supporting ongoing development through coaching, training, and personal development plans.
Encouraging a positive, motivated team culture that reflects organisational values.
Planning for succession and proactively developing future talent within the team.
What We're Looking For in a Service Control Supervisor
Proven experience managing a team within a customer service, scheduling, operations, or service control environment.
Strong coaching ability with experience delivering or overseeing Quality Control processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to handle escalations and lead team development.
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret operational data to inform decisions.
A collaborative approach, working effectively with other departments to support wider business goals.

We are looking for Retail Minibus Driver to add to our already successful team.
Whilst on site you will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner.
This role will require you to oversee the transportation of a small team of stock counters to and from each shift within your region
Employment will be carried out on different retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis.
Certain locations will have minibus transport provided free of charge.
You must follow the correct processes when notifying your count team of the pick-up points and timings for each shift
Escalating any issues with the vehicle in a timely and efficient manner
Completing a team attendance sheet, detailing the stock counters expected on the bus, who attended and the arrival time of the bus on site.
Whilst on site you will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner.
Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock
Key Skills/ Experience Required
This role will involve working unsociable hours, working early mornings or night shifts, this therefore means we are unable to hire anyone under the age of 21 years.
This role requires you to have a Full Driving License.
You must have a ‘can do' attitude and be able to work long shifts where required on large counts.
With our innovative business, the technology changes and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required.
Any experience of handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity.
