JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Support overall achievement of planned sales and profitability objectives for the assigned accounts, territory, and overall business by: Achieving or exceeding sales growth expectation metrics as defined by the Company Maintaining a working relationship with existing customers to ensure they receive exceptional service and to identify new sales opportunities Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business Possess an in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to product concerns Provide appropriate and regular reporting of activities and accomplishments to assigned Regional Sales Manager and others via the Company CRM as directed to, including but not limited to: Monthly report and key trip or activity reports Updates on competitive activities in the marketplace or at key customers/accounts Provide professional representation for the company in all business dealings, including at trade shows and with industry organizations, and attend company functions as directed. As a Batchmaker you will produce paint and related products by setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials, such as chemicals, liquids, color pigments, explosive ingredients, or rust-proofing materials.
Here's what you can expect every day:
Follow batch cards precisely and document results
Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines.
Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using automated paint-mixing equipment.
Make equipment adjustments
Assist with equipment changeovers
Complete in-process inspection of batches, certifying that batch cards are being followed and recording production results.
Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons.
Record operational data on specified forms.
Start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks.
Check materials and inspect components for flaws and non-conformance.
Inspect equipment to ensure batch card compliance.
Comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Complete daily and shift clean up task lists.
Communicate safety and processing concerns and issues with supervisor and appropriate co-workers.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of production/compounding experience

The primary result expected from the Maintenance Mechanic will be to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the facility in repair by Pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
Here's what you can expect: • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. • Follow checklists to inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions. • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, machinery, and equipment. • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Required Skills: • 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment; preferably in chemical/paint manufacturing • High School Diploma or equivalent • Must have expertise in packaging equipment, plumbing, and pipefitting, with skills in electrical work and instrument calibration considered a definite plus • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex packaging and material-handling equipment is required • Ability to do basic math. • Accurately enter and retrieve computer data. • Ability to operate machinery • Ability to solve problems in a team environment. • Active participation in our Continuous Improvement Process. • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds. • Willing to work overtime as required. Additional Consideration Given to Those With: • Exposure to quality programs • Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience • Experience with a continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma/Lean/TQM manufacturing environment. • Previous experience with safety programs
