JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Governmental Affairs Strategy Director oversees governmental relations strategies in strategic states, working with local lobbyists and/or consultants to develop strategies to protect and grow Tremco's cooperative purchasing business.
The position includes monitoring legislative activity surrounding cooperative purchasing and public works in all 50 states.
It is imperative that legislative bills are read and interpreted correctly.
This involves reviewing each state's revised code and administrative policies surrounding cooperative procurement and public works.
This includes preparing and editing proposed legislation, supporting defensive lobbying efforts on opposition bills, and understanding procurement statutes.
The position requires the ability to research and interpret state statutes and administrative policy on public markets.
Must be able to translate the information into usable, understandable language, which requires superior writing and verbalization skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be thoroughly versed in labor-based cooperative purchasing.
Assist in the development and creation of strategy implementation documents.
Review proposed legislative code changes that impact cooperative purchasing and advise stakeholders of potential impact.
Participate in all legislative strategy discussions, identify next steps with lobbyists, and track open items.
Review the public procurement code concerning cooperative purchasing and labor-based facility solutions.
Monitor trends and laws that affect purchasing.
Work with stakeholders to develop white papers and talking points and refine the message to public agencies, legislators, and support organizations.
Research and composing such documents in support of cooperative purchasing.
Work with Sales representatives to understand the issues at hand, for the representatives to explain the proposed legislative changes and how they will impact their customers.
Work with Cooperative contract holders to educate their executive directors and members on the impact of proposed legislation.
Develop email and calling information for representatives, internal employees, and others to use when calling their senators and House/Assembly members in their states.
Review all the messaging with representatives and lobbyists.
Work with organizations, associations, other facility vendors, and trade organizations in message development.
Attend all local lobbyist meetings via Teams.
Attend key legislative meetings with the cooperative team in person or via Teams. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in Political Science or any other legal field of study.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in legislative or governmental affairs in either the private or public sector.
Experience working in a senior legislative capacity for a majority State Senator, lower House Member, or Majority Caucus, or in a senior policy and/or legislative capacity for an Executive Cabinet department.
Energetic and enthusiastic individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a remote environment.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand contract requirements.
Budgets, report analysis, and customer support
Proficient with MS Office Programs, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Understanding and prior use of database management systems, knowledge of SAP.

Technical Application Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Technical Application Specialist ensures proper application of Tremco products in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing both on-site and office-based problem resolution assistance.
This individual is a technical liaison between the business and Tremco's field-based internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide or obtain accurate and timely product application, qualification, and/or troubleshooting services to internal colleagues and external business partners
Assist with general on-site product application, training, and general substrate review.

Compose official letters and/or corporate communiques, including installation instructions, job qualification parameters, and competitive product comparisons along with assisting in the development of detail drawings to help secure sales opportunities.
Provide or obtain accurate and timely answers to inquiries on product usage, comparative competitive products, web-site navigation, product specifications, repair techniques, assessment and/or remedial course of action recommendations for jobsite problems, environmental regulations, construction sequencing, and technical product property questions.
Ensure product performance through proper recommendation of jobsite qualification and application techniques.
Possess and leverage a basic knowledge of Tremco's product portfolio.
Learn assigned core product line technology while assisting higher level Application Specialists with occasional direction.
Provide clear written and verbal technical support and product recommendations to internal and external stakeholders including sales representatives, technical representatives, owners, architects, engineers, contractors, installers, etc.

The Specification Specialist reviews and develops project specifications and Scopes of Work to ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and company standards, using their expertise to select appropriate items based on project requirements.
We are looking for an Associate Specification Specialist to support our Pacific Northwest Region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop AIA MasterFormat specifications that comply with Tremco requirements, purchasing agreements, local building codes, and industry standards (NRCA, SPRI, Factory Mutual, etc.).
Develop specifications in compliance with IBC, IECC, and Tremco-specific requirements & standards
Develop specifications based on individual project Scopes of Work, using expertise, experience, and best practices to select appropriate items.
Assist Estimators in understanding specifications for bid preparation and pricing.
Calculate wind-uplift design pressures based on project specifics.
Understand and apply 3rd party test reports for Tremco systems for specifications
Identify and resolve service, process, or quality system problems; ensure proper resolution implementation.
Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the specification development process.
Stay updated with compliance policies to ensure specifications and drawings align with contract agreements.
Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving building codes, industry regulations, and roofing standards by staying current with building code changes; escalate and implement necessary adjustments in design and construction practices.
Ensure specification work is completed in a timely manner
Ensure specification work is compliant, clear, concise, correct, and complete.
Ensure compatibility of specified products.
Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with Program Managers, Construction Managers, Sales, Estimators, and Field Technicians throughout the specification development process to ensure contract requirements are specified.
Communicate with Product & Technical as needed throughout the specification development process.
Provide support to the Specification Specialist team and Product & Technical Solutions Department to achieve company-wide goals and targets.
Maintain educational credentials
Responsibilities include any and all responsibilities deemed necessary by the manager
Utilize Tremco's platforms for job and data management (E-builder, Spec Writer, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
Competent in Tremco's products and systems, including application, use, coverage rates, compatibility, and limitations.
Competent in UL Product iQ, RoofNav, Florida Building Code (NEMO reports) and NRCA Roof Wind Designer websites/programs.These additional duties may also be required depending on region:
Prepare and review addenda and pre-bid documentation as needed.

Ensure EH&S compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations.

During each term as a Process Engineering Co-Op they will have the opportunity to learn, experience and contribute to the operations of the polyurethane sealants and coatings manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will work in conjunction with the process and quality engineering group to support safety, quality, maintenance and production processes.
