JOB DESCRIPTION
DAP is looking to hire Distribution Center Manager for our Garland, TX location.
This position is responsible for managing and overseeing all warehouse day-to-day operations, including receiving, inventory control, order picking, shipping and delivery to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and implement warehouse and distribution strategies, processes, and procedures to support DAP's business goals and objectives.
This is performed through a balanced approach of safety, quality, cost, service and people.
Responsibilities
Safety
Ensure Associates are performing their duties in a safe manner and in a safe environment.
Lead safety related activities (Safety Team, Department meetings, Audits/Tours) and ensure prompt follow-up on safety related issues to minimize lost time accidents and ensure compliance with all DAP and OSHA requirements.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and that all facility and power equipment is utilized safely and, in the manner, consistent with its intended use.
People
Lead and develop warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service.
Provide performance feedback to department staff, as well as other associates through periodic performance review, staff meetings, training coordination and other activities deemed appropriate.
Maintain an open-door policy to address all work-related associate concerns and discuss issues involving personalities, work scheduling, communication between supervisors and performance issues.
Work with HR on issues relating to associates.
Quality & Productivity
Ensure product quality and integrity through established adhesion to policies and procedure, implementing new ideas/techniques when appropriate.
Work with management team and associates to develop policies and procedures to address daily operational challenges that impact shipments to customers and operating efficiencies.
Determine most appropriate proactive operating rules, communicate changes, execute changes, follow-up and monitor compliance.
Oversees carrier scheduling, communication and dispatch.
Work with Corporate IT and software supplier to address issues relating to labels, warehouse management system and RF equipment.
Service
Continuously strive to improve our service level to our internal and external customers through the introduction of process enhancements and best practices.
Complete daily review of our performance in shipping, receiving and replenishment to ensure that customer orders are leaving on a timely basis and required unit and line-item fill rates are being attained.
Plan for adequate manpower against current and future shipping days and implement new process if needed, while continuing to review and revise old processes with management team and associates.
Utilize WMS to manage warehouse operations and analyze performance data.
Responds to inquiries regarding shipment status.
Serves as a liaison between Customer Service, Warehouse and Production departments to ensure product availability and priorities.
Cost
Prepare, manage and maintain distribution center budget through reduction of non-value-added activities and increasing efficiencies of current processes.
Manage department budget daily, determining spending priorities with VP of Operations and insuring goals and objectives are being met.
Evaluate current spending to determine areas to reduce costs, streamline expenses to maximize value to operation and still maintain customer service.
Utilize the MS 168 process to provide process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
7 to 10 years of experience in the relevant field
Working knowledge of RF warehouse management system
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel software applications
Strong leadership and management skills and experience
Excellent communication skills
Inventory Control and warehouse management systems experience
Preferred to be bilingual in Spanish.

Strong understanding of the manufactured concrete (block, pavers and mcp) process and the role of admixtures. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry trends is a plus.
Preferred Skills: Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Technical certifications in concrete technology or related fields. Multilingual capabilities are a plus.

Walmart Category Advisor - Manager

Overview
As a Category Advisor - Manager, you will be a strategic partner to Walmart's merchandising team, driving growth across multiple categories.
With expanded scope and responsibility, you'll apply your CPG experience, data expertise, and leadership skills to deliver insights, influence decisions, and optimize category performance.
You will also manage one direct report, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight to support team and business objectives.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to one category analyst, supporting their professional development and ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Category Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to drive sales, profitability, and market share.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize Walmart Luminate, JDA Space Planning, Circana/Nielsen, and other syndicated data sources to identify opportunities for category expansion, SKU optimization, and competitive differentiation.
Assortment & Space Optimization: Conduct Opportunity Gap Analyses, identify brand gaps, and leverage qualitative and quantitative data to recommend assortment and space improvements.
Retailer Collaboration: Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to Walmart's buyers and merchants, providing insights that influence category decisions.
Space Management: Utilize space management technologies to build and implement modular resets that enhance the shopper experience and maximize category productivity.
Market & Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry and consumer trends, analyze competitor activities, and develop strategies to address evolving market dynamics.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with internal teams across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance to align category strategies with broader business objectives.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance
7 - 10 years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, or Sales within a CPG manufacturer or brokerage firm.
3+ years of experience informally leading others and / or multiple complex projects or initiatives.
3+ years of experience managing or mentoring a direct report, with demonstrated ability to provide coaching and performance feedback
Proficiency in Walmart Luminate, JDA Space Planning, Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, and other syndicated data tools.

Advanced Analytical & Technical Expertise: Proficient in market and trend analysis using tools like Walmart Luminate, JDA Space Planning, and Circana/Nielsen to support decision-making and space optimization.
Executional Excellence & Category Management: Experienced in modular resets, SKU optimization, assortment planning, and serving as a Category Captain or Advisor for major retailers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance without direct authority.
Omnichannel & Communication Strengths: Strong understanding of omnichannel retail trends and shopper behavior, paired with excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Targeted People Leadership: Experience managing or mentoring a small team or individual contributor, with a focus on development, accountability, and collaboration

General Purpose:
The Packer is responsible for packaging material and supporting the PSI Operations group with manual labor.

Physical Demands:

Hours: 2nd Shift = Mon-Thurs, 4pm-2:30am Pay: $24-$27 Shift Premium of 0.75/hour for 2nd shift.
Job Description:
Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.
Preparing samples, using various lab equipment and following detailed instructions provided by the supervisor, and performing standard tests and evaluations of samples following established methods and procedures. Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation techniques, and microscopy.
Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials.
Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, or teams, and by conducting laboratory and plant safety audits.
Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes following standardized formulas or create experimental formulas.
Maintaining accurate and thorough records of observations and results, communicating them verbally and in reports requested by the supervisor. Provide technical support and assistance to the research & development team. Performing lab support activities, including routine maintenance or upkeep of equipment.
Requirements
Experienced with Excel and other Office programs. Familiarity/experience with SAP or other ERP software preferred.
