As the Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
Provide a specialist psychology service to people with a diagnosis of a mental disorder on our Male Rehabilitation Service
Undertake specialist structured, semi-structured and standardised psychological assessments
Develop specialist psychological formulations based on assessments
Formulate plans for patients' psychological treatment
Implement specialist psychological interventions for individuals and groups
Contribute to specialist centralised group programmes such as substance misuse
Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Hospital's policies and procedures
Provide clinical supervision to assistant and trainee psychologists as required
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience of working with people with a diagnosis of a mental disorder, personality disorder and/or enduring mental health problems
Experience of and/or interested in rehabilitation and recovery of patient in a forensic context
Skills in individual and group work and in programme planning
Use of complex methods of psychological assessment to inform the psychological formulation and intervention
The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £38,600 - £48,250 per annum DOE.
This exciting position is a permanent part time role working on day shifts.

As a Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
Working autonomously to provide a specialist psychology service to patients as agreed by Consultant Psychiatrist, Therapies Lead, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and in discussion with wider MDT
Undertaking specialist assessments
Be involved in running therapeutic groups on the ward as agreed
Ensuring that all clinical work is adequately recoded in the electronic patient record
Attending ward rounds (and other MDT meetings), case conferences, CPAs as required, and provide reports in advance for these in accordance with local procedures
Preparing clinical; reports as required, e.g.
assessment reports, discharge summaries
Liaising with internal and external colleagues as required
Completing all recording and reporting tasks associated with clinical work
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Have BPS recognised psychology degrees
Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
Experience of applying psychological knowledge to a psychiatric setting
Experience in inpatient work preferable but not essential
The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £53,000 per annum.
