GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The 3rd Shift Certified Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of process and facility-related equipment.
Equipment inspection includes preventative maintenance (PM) and associated documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with all safety policies (especially Cardinal Rules - e.g., Hot Work, LOTO, and line breaking).
Partner with Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Manager to support LEAN initiatives to eliminate unplanned production interruptions due to process equipment failure.
Implement the needed preventative measures, including optimization of the PM program.
Ensure reliable operation of facility support processes and utilities (i.e., HVAC, Air Compressors, Tow motors, Hot Oil Heaters, and chiller systems).
Diagnose/Troubleshoot, repair/replace, and maintain facility electrical systems (e.g.
programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, and lighting) and components (e.g.
sensors, switches, valves, PLCs, and control wiring), and mechanical systems (e.g.
product vessels/reactors, pumps) and components.
Investigate equipment/process failures and difficulties to diagnose and troubleshoot faulty operation.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in arranging and coordinating contractors, safety permits, and tasks to support facility and process maintenance/repairs.
Serve, as needed, on process hazard analysis (PHA) teams/sessions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
One-year certificate from college or technical school.
Maintenance Mechanic Certificate or equivalent as deemed by the company.
Industrial Technology program graduate preferred.
Two to four years related experience and/or training.
Experience in LEAN manufacturing.
Military mechanical experience is a plus.
Experience in chemical/coating processing & production preferred.
Experience in dispensing operations preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Journeyman cards in various disciplines are preferred.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective Team Player, self-motivated, quick learner.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.

You don't need to be a mechanic for the Fleet & Service Coordinator role but you must be comfortable with the basics of HGV or vehicle maintenance terminology and confident coordinating technical work.

Fleet & Service Coordinator

Overview
This is an excellent entry to mid-level opportunity for someone with strong coordination skills and an interest in vehicle and equipment maintenance.
While not a management role, it calls for initiative, accountability and the confidence to keep processes running smoothly within a busy operational team.

Purpose of the Fleet & Service Coordinator Role
To ensure all fleet assets are maintained, inspected and recorded in full compliance with legal, safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities Fleet & Service Coordinator
Compliance & Governance Make sure all inspections, services and documentation meet regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Scheduling & Forward Planning Arrange and monitor all planned maintenance events including PMIs, MOTs, LOLER inspections, brake testing, fridge servicing, tacho calibrations and other statutory checks.
Repairs & Technical Coordination Liaise with approved suppliers and repair agents to coordinate work, authorise repairs within set limits and monitor progress to completion.
Breakdown Handling Log and deploy breakdown jobs, raise purchase orders, communicate with suppliers and ensure the vehicle returns to service promptly.
System Administration Keep fleet management systems fully updated with accurate information, uploading documents quickly and maintaining visibility of compliance across the rental fleet.
Customer & Supplier Communication Build effective relationships, provide timely updates, and ensure high levels of customer service for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Cost Control Review repair estimates, assess cost implications and ensure spend is in line with company procedures and service-level expectations.
General Support Assist with wider fleet duties as required, adapting to changing priorities within a compact and fast-moving team.
About You
You don't need to be a mechanic for the Fleet & Service Coordinator role but you must be comfortable with the basics of HGV or vehicle maintenance terminology and confident coordinating technical work.
You'll bring:
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Experience scheduling service or maintenance work — ideally from automotive, logistics, engineering, plant hire or a similar sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment plant wide.
Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to verify adequacy of repair. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on process equipment.
Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. Record repairs and maintenance performed. Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary. 8:00am-4:00pm with the possibility of longer shifts and occasional Saturdays (determined by the needs of the business)
Qualifications and Previous Experience:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years related experience and/or training Experience rigging heavy components and operating mobile equipment (fork lifts, man lifts, skid-steer, etc.) Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages - SAP a plus

Weekend Shift Differential: $3.00/hour
Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 6:00AM - 6:30PM
The primary result expected from the Maintenance Technician will be to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the facility in repair by Pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Follow checklists to inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, machinery, and equipment. The primary result expected from the Lab Technician will be to complete and document performance testing of various coating attributes by making laboratory samples of paint technologies including color evaluations and color matching as well as other laboratory functions and by assisting in the development and optimization of new or existing products to support revenue growth and profits of the corporation. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications. Develop an understanding with supervision of the fundamentals of coatings technology. Compile results of tests and analyses. Production Quality Lab Technicians may have to dispose of product samples, line flush, off-spec product, or expired product retain samples.
This waste material is transferred to the hazardous waste satellite accumulation drum. 2.
Production workers clean equipment and tanks pre-rinse, wipe, scrub, and final rinse surfaces using wash solvent, brushes and rags.
Dirty solvent is transferred to the satellite accumulation area. 3.
Transfer used wash solvent to the satellite accumulation drum or tank. 4.
Ensure hazardous waste storage or accumulation containers remain sealed except during the addition or removal of waste. 5.
Ensure Hazardous Waste storage containers are clearly labeled "Hazardous Waste." 6.
Care must be exercised when introducing waste into the satellite accumulation drum.
Do not drop on floor or area.
In the case of any spilled material, spills or drops shall be cleaned up immediately. 7.
When 55 gallons has accumulated, the satellite accumulation container must be moved to a permanent hazardous waste storage area within 3 days and relabeled "Hazardous Waste." REQUISITE SKILL, EDUCATION, OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Knowledge and understanding of the chemical characteristics of the wastes which they are assigned to handle or control (i.e., flammability, toxics, incompatibilities, etc.). 2.
