Duties of Engineering Manager:
The development of maintenance plans and systems, driving PPMs and OEE

Starting in the Felt Department or Roofing Department of the East 80th Cleveland Manufacturing Plant, the Operator will start up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely, while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications.
This position can turn into a regular, full-time, union position if the employee completes the probationary period.
During the probationary period, this position will work on the 1st Shift.
If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on the Plant's needs.
3-SHIFT FACILITY:
1st Shift: 6 a.m.
to 2:30 p.m.
2nd Shift: 2 p.m.
to 10:30 p.m.
(Shift Differential of $0.75)
3rd Shift: 10 p.m.
to 6:30 a.m.
(Shift Differential of $1.00)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs work safely, according to safety rules and guidelines, and follows Tremco's Escalation Policy for any safety or quality concerns.
Communicates with Team Lead and/or Supervisor during shift changes and throughout shift.
Understands and operates the HMI at the various stations along the line to keep the line operating safely and efficiently.
Monitors weight, speed, and other metrics along the line.
Operates forklift to move raw materials, load carrier, and move finished product.
Makes raw material batches in the appropriate mixer(s), according to specifications.
Performs quality control tests on the batches, per established guidelines.
Ensures proper labels are being used on the taping machine.
Fills appropriate-sized pails, drums, or totes, labels filled items, and places pails/drums on pallet.
Performs daily housekeeping/cleaning of immediate area and other surrounding areas and departments, as needed.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
No prior education or experience required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or similar industry experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic knowledge of mathematics-i.e., addition, subtraction, fractions, etc.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
Forklift Certificate and operations experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.

The primary result expected from the Lab Technician will be to complete and document performance testing of various coating attributes by making laboratory samples of paint technologies including color evaluations and color matching as well as other laboratory functions and by assisting in the development and optimization of new or existing products to support revenue growth and profits of the corporation. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications. Develop an understanding with supervision of the fundamentals of coatings technology. Compile results of tests and analyses. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION DUTIES/TASKS: Satellite Hazardous Waste Accumulation Production tank/Cleaning/filling 1.
Production Quality Lab Technicians may have to dispose of product samples, line flush, off-spec product, or expired product retain samples.
This waste material is transferred to the hazardous waste satellite accumulation drum. 2.
Production workers clean equipment and tanks pre-rinse, wipe, scrub, and final rinse surfaces using wash solvent, brushes and rags.
Dirty solvent is transferred to the satellite accumulation area. 3.
Transfer used wash solvent to the satellite accumulation drum or tank. 4.
Ensure hazardous waste storage or accumulation containers remain sealed except during the addition or removal of waste. 5.
Ensure Hazardous Waste storage containers are clearly labeled "Hazardous Waste." 6.
Care must be exercised when introducing waste into the satellite accumulation drum.
Do not drop on floor or area.
In the case of any spilled material, spills or drops shall be cleaned up immediately. 7.
When 55 gallons has accumulated, the satellite accumulation container must be moved to a permanent hazardous waste storage area within 3 days and relabeled "Hazardous Waste." REQUISITE SKILL, EDUCATION, OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Knowledge and understanding of the chemical characteristics of the wastes which they are assigned to handle or control (i.e., flammability, toxics, incompatibilities, etc.). 2.
Type of protective equipment and clothing to be worn. 3.
Knowledge of what to do or who to notify in the event of a release, fire, or explosion. 4.
Knowledge of communication and alarm system. 5.
Know procedures for using facility emergency equipment. 6.
Predetermined responses and methods to control releases, fires, or explosions. 7.

The primary result expected from the Maintenance Technician will be to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the facility in repair by Pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Follow checklists to inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, machinery, and equipment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
