JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Design Engineer assesses project requirements, gathers technical field data, determines design requirements, selects appropriate equipment, and provides drafting of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) restoration projects.
This role combines engineering expertise with drafting skills to ensure that projects are planned and constructed effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conducts on-site visits and assessments to understand the specific scope and technical requirements of individual projects.
This includes evaluating existing HVAC systems, identifying issues or challenges, and testing equipment performance. • Determines scope and designs solutions for HVAC restoration projects via site visits and coordination with owner/facility staff. • Understands components and functions of existing mechanical systems being altered or renovated. • Exercises control over design and production tasks to enable HVAC restoration projects. • Drafts construction documents and generates specifications for HVAC restoration projects. • Utilizes in-house estimating tools to create project budgets. • Assists the sales team with scope reviews and support as needed. • Creates, maintains, and improves drafting tools and templates. • Determines the estimated cost of HVAC projects.
This includes calculating costs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and any other expenses associated with the project. • Ensures a smooth transition from design to project execution, providing technical guidance and insights during and after construction. • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Engineer Intern (EI) Certification • Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of industry-specific experience. • Experience with construction drafting in AutoCAD. • EI certification with the ability to obtain a PE license preferred. • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge preferred. • Experience with a programming language (VBA, C#, etc.) preferred. • Experience with cloud-based platforms (Pro-Core, E-Builder, iAuditor, etc.) preferred. • Ability to travel out of state up to 50% of the time.Apply for this ad Online! ....Read more...

Summary:
Provides technical support for plant operations including Process Development, Process Control, Recovery Development, and Quality Analysis.

Physical Requirements:

Personal protective equipment would be utilized.

Collaborates with R&D on process development for new products at the facility. Implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and develop and reviews process documentation, technical specifications, and operating procedures.
Provides training on formulation, materials handling, processing, and quality. Monitors plant operating metrics to identify cost, quality, and cycle time problem areas. Develops recovery plans for off-specification, obsolete, and problem finished goods. Monitors along with QC the consistency of production using SQC, SPC, or other appropriate techniques.
Investigates Quality issues at the facility and adjusts processes to eliminate the issue. Collaborates with operations manager on modification of equipment and processes to reduce cost, and improve efficiency and quality. Conducts research through industry and vendor contacts on new processing methods and new equipment. Role Overview As a Sofa Host, you'll be the first point of contact for customers -welcoming them in, listening to their needs, and helping them find their dream sofa.
You'll guide customers through the sales process, keep the showroom looking stylish, and ensure every interaction is memorable.
You'll play a key role in driving sales, building trust, and representing our brand on the showroom floor, all while sharpening your product knowledge and staying up to date with interiors trends.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and engage customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable way
Guide customers through the full sales journey -from browsing to purchase
Provide clear advice on specifications, pricing, warranties, delivery, and aftercare
Confidently overcome objections to secure sales while ensuring a positive experience
Maintain a stylish, inviting, and on-brand showroom
Hit and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling
Stay up-to-date with product and industry trends
Skills & Experience Required
Proven sales experience, ideally in furniture
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service mindset and drive to go the extra mile
Knowledge of furniture materials, design, or interiors (preferred)
Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic IT
Physical ability to move and arrange furniture when required
