Work with Corporate IT and software supplier to address issues relating to labels, warehouse management system and RF equipment.
Service
Continuously strive to improve our service level to our internal and external customers through the introduction of process enhancements and best practices.
 
Complete daily review of our performance in shipping, receiving and replenishment to ensure that customer orders are leaving on a timely basis and required unit and line-item fill rates are being attained.
Plan for adequate manpower against current and future shipping days and implement new process if needed, while continuing to review and revise old processes with management team and associates.
Utilize WMS to manage warehouse operations and analyze performance data.
 
Responds to inquiries regarding shipment status.
 Serves as a liaison between Customer Service, Warehouse and Production departments to ensure product availability and priorities.
Cost
Prepare, manage and maintain distribution center budget through reduction of non-value-added activities and increasing efficiencies of current processes.
Manage department budget daily, determining spending priorities with VP of Operations and insuring goals and objectives are being met.
Evaluate current spending to determine areas to reduce costs, streamline expenses to maximize value to operation and still maintain customer service.
Utilize the MS 168 process to provide process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
7 to 10 years of experience in the relevant field
Working knowledge of RF warehouse management system
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel software applications
Strong leadership and management skills and experience
Excellent communication skills
Inventory Control and warehouse management systems experience
Preferred to be bilingual in Spanish.

 The Quality Control Specialist educates WTI personnel on the proper use and application of products, providing installation training both on and off the roof.
They oversee large self-performed projects from start to finish, conducting intermittent inspections and performing post-completion inspections of smaller projects.
The QCS will conduct regular job site visits during the project and after project completion.
The goal is to provide consistency nationwide through proper roof repairs and the application of our products. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
   Ensure proper execution and delivery of all WTI GS and GC self-performed roofing work.  Provide a variety of technical and application training sessions in both field and shop settings.  Provide hands-on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation.  Attend pre-cons on large projects.
Be present at job start-ups to discuss the proper execution of the scope of work.
Visit the projects at specific intervals to assess the completed work and provide any direction or corrective advice.
Perform a pre-final inspection to ensure that the project has a zero-punch list.
Perform final inspections when needed.
  Pre-project field inspections and technical support, including but not limited to:       Peel tests    Product testing    Product recommendations    Proper product installations     Post project completion inspection to ensure quality workmanship and proper utilization and application of materials.  Product diagnostic support to ensure that WTI is kept out of trouble due to misuse of products in the situation.  Conduct roof inspections, providing written reports and photo documentation.  Conduct on-site safety audits to ensure all safety requirements are met and consult with the safety team as needed.  Review and train on large warranty adjustment projects over ten (10) man days. Complete daily reports including DTA's, Safety Audits, Truck Audits, and QC Inspection Reports as necessary and applicable.  Complete weekly/monthly activity reports as requested.  Support the region as needed when weather conditions prevent the fulfillment of daily job responsibilities.  Facilitate training in a classroom setting.
  All other Quality Control Inspection-related tasks or training as assigned by the manager.  Travel predominantly within the assigned territory and nationally as needed, and complete and submit expense reports on a timely basis. 
EXPERIENCE:
   5+ years of roofing, roofing repair, troubleshooting, or field service experience.  Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including built-up, modified, single ply, and metal.  Working knowledge of roof coating systems.

Performs all required testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
Performs first piece inspection on all product lines to ensure proper setup of filling and ink-jet coding equipment
Audits manufacturing process daily for compliance with all product quality parameters
Records all test data, properly completing all necessary reports, filling, and maintaining test data
Test and assist in the investigation of product complaints
Assists in the evaluation of obsolete, rejected and returned products for reprocessing
Maintains neatness and orderliness of the Quality Control test lab
Reports all spills and leaks, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, accidents, near-miss accidents and material shortages immediately to the Production Supervisor
Minimum Requirements
High school diplomas and/or 5 years QC experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Must be capable of wearing Company standard respirators as qualified by a fit test performed by an authorized agency.
Must pass standard eye exam (corrected or uncorrected) and must pass standard color-tone.
This position requires consistent wearing of a lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes; with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances.
Benefits and Compensation
The pay range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $18.00/hour and $25.00/hour.
The range is an estimate based on potential employee qualification operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
