JOB DESCRIPTION
DAP is looking for an experienced and driven Art Director to lead our in-house creative services and growing studio team, translating strategic marketing goals into innovative creative strategies.
This role is critical in developing and maintaining our DAP brand's artistic direction while supporting projects across video, photography, social-first content, digital marketing assets, packaging, sales collateral and more.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all creative deliverables are aligned with brand objectives.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented in-house creative team and liasoning with creative agencies, driving the creative process from concept to production while ensuring consistent, high-quality brand storytelling across all platforms.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement creative strategies aligned with marketing goals and brand vision.
Propose innovative ideas and concepts that elevate the brand's aesthetic and engage target audiences.
Stay on top of industry trends, design technologies, and AI tools, introducing advancements into workflows.
Creative Direction
Lead the conceptualization and design of omni-channel projects, including videos, photography, social media content, in-store displays, packaging, and e-commerce assets.
Ensure consistency in brand aesthetics and visual style across all touchpoints.
Provide art direction for photoshoots and video production from pre-production through post-production.
Team and Project Management
Manage and mentor a team of designers and studio leads, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.
Effectively coordinate with Brand Strategists, Product Managers, and the Digital Marketing Team to align creative execution with business objectives.
Presentation and Stakeholder Collaboration
Present designs and creative concepts to internal stakeholders, gathering feedback and approvals.
Partner with external creative agencies to extend creative resources as needed for larger campaigns.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in creative direction with an advertising agency, in-house marketing team, post-production house, or digital marketing agencies, preferably in B2C industries, and experience working with large-scale brands.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and challenge teams to deliver their best work.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relative project management and team collaboration software.
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, proficient in all applicable software.
A portfolio with relevant work experience and examples required with resume.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Develop an ongoing strategy to manage and grow existing business within existing markets and with all new strategic markets developed by WTI or Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance management.

Determine solutions to project issues, including but not limited to field resource management, workload balance, job site conditions, and product management issues.
Travel to job sites as needed to provide support to regional resources, including rooftop projects.

Manage all WTI personnel in the assigned region, with personnel numbers ranging from 10 to over 100, depending on the region's sales volume.
Develop regional resources for daily operations, growth, and employee development.
Identify resource or employee concerns and resolve them promptly, engaging the appropriate HR or WTI management as needed.
Ensure that documentation on employee issues is submitted promptly to the HR department.
Act as an agent of change and improvement, and adapt quickly to changing business priorities.
Manage regional financial data, including identifying trends, correcting utilization, and addressing issues related to gross margin and/or operating income.
Review individual job financials and make necessary adjustments to address poor performance and prevent recurring problems.

Ensure that documentation on employee issues is submitted promptly to the HR department.
Act as an agent of change and improvement, and adapt quickly to changing business priorities.
Manage regional financial data, including identifying trends, correcting utilization, and addressing issues related to gross margin and/or operating income.
Review individual job financials and make necessary adjustments to address poor performance and prevent recurring problems.
Forecast, analyze, and report on sales, establishing financial performance metrics.
Define criteria for success and provide leadership to achieve regional team goals.
Develop workforce planning, recruiting, and retention strategies to optimize the region's performance.
Establish, define, and communicate a clear strategic direction and targets for achieving goals within the regional team.
Facilitate a culture of teamwork and excellence throughout the region and the organization.
Communicate and implement company policies and procedures within the region and support throughout the organization as required.
Work directly with the Managed Asset team to facilitate and provide support for designated national accounts.
Communicate with regional partners (other RBMs, supervisors, construction managers, etc.) to provide or obtain resource and technical support.
Additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
EXPERIENCE:
5-10 years of prior experience in a results-oriented leadership role for a regional, cross-functional team within the building construction industry.
Prior experience leading a large staff in remote multi-state locations.
Experience in an influential role where extraordinary results were achieved through accountability and leading others to achieve and maintain a high standard of performance.
Prior experience clearly defines expectations, articulating ideas, thoughts, and views, and providing continual, timely, frank, and direct feedback to others.
Proven experience with setting strategy and establishing plans for business growth.

What you'll be doing:
Working with manufacturers NSC as the subject matter expert in market.
Conduct virtual and physical evaluations on the network.
Remote verification of Bodyshop self-evaluation and evidence of standard compliance.
Produce individual repairer action plans from evaluation activity, liaising with Bodyshop Partners to support them in maintaining brand standards and high quality right first-time repair.
Proactively drive the collection and collation of industry repair data for Bodyshop partners and wider the wider national market.
Identify priority training requirements and liaise with the NSC training teams to deliver class leading network training.
Produce a monthly market report to required template.
Support manufacturer network parts programmes (as required)
Support network technical enquiries to conclusion.
Support the European Programme Manager in the identification of programme improvements.
Attend (as required) industry events to widen the awareness of the programme and identify growth opportunities.
