Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Residential Support Worker in Long Sutton.
We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to act as an appropriate role model, provide advice, assistance and support to children and attend to their practical, physical, and emotional needs to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their full potential.
Main Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
Contribute to the provision of a safe and stimulating environment in which children can develop and mature.
Support children by showing awareness of their individual interests and preferences, by introducing them to a range of different experiences and enabling them to make informed choices whenever possible.
Provide primary care on a day-to-day basis according to the child's individual needs and meet occasional needs such as health care appointments.
Contributing to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
Plan and organise activities daily as well as for special celebrations and festivals.
To participate in holidays and a range of sporting and physical activities with the Children
Requirements:
Previous experience as a support worker (1 to 2 years desirable), preferably within a childcare organisation / residential care or a semi-independent living,
Live within a 20 minute radius of Long Sutton
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) is preferable or a Bachelor's Degree equivalent

Assistance in the registration of new applications including checking estimates and building costs and assessing plan and inspection charges.The Scrutiny of Full Plans applications, Building Notices, and Regularisation Applications for compliance with the Building Regulations, the Building Act and other relevant legislation including examination of structure details and calculations.

Responsibility for decisions made at these inspections lies entirely with the Postholder and except in exceptional circumstances without reference to the Supervisor.To notify and/or confirm by letter/email to the responsible person details of irregularities, contraventions and other matters regarding works in progress and liaise, where necessary, with other Departments of the Council negotiating as necessary with builders and developers on these matters.To prepare and record Building Regulation fee quotes when requested by clients or senior staff.To report serious contraventions of the Building Regulations and allied legislation to the Senior Building Surveyor for guidance upon necessary action.To provide pre-application, specialist advice on all aspects of the Building Regulations and allied legislation for more complex projects.To keep detailed records of all works inspected on site for future reference and in sufficient detail.To inspect work and verify completion in accordance with Building Regulations in connection with payments for Improvement Grants.To inspect demolition works to ensure that conditions attached to Demolition Notices served under Section 80/81 of the Building Act 1984 are complied with.To visit building sites where work appears to have been dormant for some time to assess position, consult with the Senior Building Surveyor and take action as directed.
