Sous Chef - Sushi
Salary: $65,000 - $68,000 + Benefits + Discounts + PTO + more!
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Working directly under the Head Chef, my client is looking for a sous chef to join their team.
You will be part of offering a vibrant fusion of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisine, providing guests with an innovative and lively dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure team in kitchens are trained to prepare dishes in timely fashion and with consistent level of excellence
- Achieve consistent product excellence, which includes training new cooks, retraining current staff and hiring the best cooks to handle the business volume and deliver quality food
- Supervise the line and operations hands-on; jumping in to lend a hand during busy times
- Interpret labor reports and keep all costs, including food, in line with budget
- Monitor and maintain sanitation & health department standards
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role and with similar cuisine
- In depth knowledge of kitchen operations
- Strong financial and inventory understanding
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team building, staff development, and fostering a positive work culture
