I am currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician for my client in Yeovil.
This role will be primarily working within Metal coatings and systems.

The role of Laboratory Technician will include:

- Tank maintenance and chemical additions.
- Stock control of chemicals
- pH control and chemical analysis
- Producing and conducting tests on test panels. 
- Producing and conducting tests on Hardness, Salt Spray and Coating Weight. 
- Electrical insulation & conductivity testing. 
- Advise on RCCA when discrepancies occur. 
- Support production/quality issues. 
- Writing reports on findings. 
- Assist in Internal Audits, Continuous improvement and 5S, REACH compliance. 
- Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and

Skills and experience required for the Laboratory Technician:

-  Degree in Chemistry (preferable but not required as training can be provided) 
- Aerospace/ plating experience 
- English, Science and Math GCSE, or equivalent 
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail. 
- All-rounded interpersonal and communication skills.
