MEP Planner

An MEP Planner is required in an established Mechanical & Electrical company based in London.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Produce programmes ensuring that all key design, procurement and construction activities are captured, and logic linked to identify the critical path.

  • Collate & validate project progress & programme constraints and report to Senior Management

  • Regular visits to site to conduct review of progress and review with team delays, risks and critical path analysis.

  • Ability to produce detailed programmes and options quickly as required by clients.

  • Develop relationships with internal teams, consultants and clients.

  • Work closely with the Site Team to manage all programme and planning activities on the allocated project

  • Prepare short term programmes and carry out any project specific exercises such as reprogramming and allocating resources.

  • Attend meetings as required including team meetings, sub-contractor and design meetings.

  • Monitor any changes and assess the impact on the agreed programmes.

  • Where applicable, carry out delay analysis and prepare reports to assist with any EOT applications.

  • Suggest programme recovery actions or programme betterment opportunities.

  • Maintain full change log records, for all programmes, as per Planning Process


Qualifications:



  • Professional Qualifications: HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar

  • Experience of tender stage planning and/or onsite planning within a developer/ contracting organisation

  • Excellent MEP knowledge in terms of the infrastructure, installation and commissioning sequences of M&E services

  • Excellent knowledge of the construction process from feasibility to handover

  • Excellent appreciation of the issues and challenges of developing and managing project programmes for residential building projects through all lifecycle stages.

  • Proven understanding of the full project cycle and any relative constraints.

  • Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including Asta Power Project MS Project

  • Methodical, imaginative, and analytical thinker, with practical construction experience combined with sound knowledge of planning, programming and control processes

  • Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised, individually or as part of a team, to a very high standard.

  • Proficient in communication (both written and verbal)

  • Organised and structured approach to your work.

  • Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with multiple priorities

  • High attention to detail


Package:



  • Reporting to Reporting to Head of Operations

  • Start date is asap

  • Salary is £65,000 - £80,000
