Technical Application Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Technical Application Specialist ensures proper application of Tremco products in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing both on-site and office-based problem resolution assistance.
This individual is a technical liaison between the business and Tremco's field-based internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide or obtain accurate and timely product application, qualification, and/or troubleshooting services to internal colleagues and external business partners
Assist with general on-site product application, training, and general substrate review.
Assist with the generation and maintenance of technical documentation and collateral with various internal departments.
Examples include application instructions, technical data sheets, technical marketing collateral, product training programs, 3rd party testing/validation reports, and other product assets.
Assist in the collection of laboratory data forproject and/or product-specific testing.
Assist with and/or perform in-field and in-house analytical lab testing to confirm the chemical compatibility and physical adhesion properties of Tremco products on specified jobs, for evaluating new areas of application, new product development, and competitive product analysis.
Conduct jobsite observations/evaluations with customers and field sales reps to make accurate and timely product and installation recommendations.
Compose official letters and/or corporate communiques, including installation instructions, job qualification parameters, and competitive product comparisons along with assisting in the development of detail drawings to help secure sales opportunities.
Provide or obtain accurate and timely answers to inquiries on product usage, comparative competitive products, web-site navigation, product specifications, repair techniques, assessment and/or remedial course of action recommendations for jobsite problems, environmental regulations, construction sequencing, and technical product property questions.
Ensure product performance through proper recommendation of jobsite qualification and application techniques.
Possess and leverage a basic knowledge of Tremco's product portfolio.

The primary function of a Tremco Project & Compatibility Lab Technician is to manage internal testing procedures that are used to establish a compatibility matrix for all Tremco products that are subject to contact in typical construction applications.
The P&C Lab Technician will perform Project Testing and support testing functions for Decks, Below Grade Waterproofing, Sealants and Air Barriers.
These test functions include Product Comparison, Product Compatibly, ASTM Testing (potential addendums to existing standard method requirements).
The P&C Lab Technician will be required to communicate results in an organized manner and manage the flow of data through the proper channels to the proper recipients in a timely fashion
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Laboratory: 75% of time will be spent in the laboratory in constructing test samples, documenting performance and maintaining a clean working environment.
Must be familiar with a laboratory setting and safety and be able to:
Test to ASTM C 1248, ASTM C 1247, ASTM C 1193, ASTM C 1135, ASTM C 1087, ASTM 794, ASTM C 793, ASTM C 719, ASTM C 679, ASTM C 679, ASTM C 661, ASTM C 639 and ASTM C 510 standard test methods.
Prepare test substrates for testing using cutting equipment including band saw, table saw and wet saw.
Document observations and results of standard testing in detailed test reports.
Maintain organization of test articles during sample preparation, conditioning, testing and storage.
Maintain cleanliness of laboratory environment and enforce laboratory hygiene plan.
Use of material testing equipment including microscope and Instron 5565.
Other duties as assigned.
Customer Support (External and Internal): Provide timely response on requests from internal and external customers as it relates to compatibility testing and posting of results in the database.
Develop a test schedule to provide accurate turnaround time estimates.
Maintain quick and accurate written and verbal responses to technical and non-technical questions.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The International Regulatory Specialist is responsible for providing regulatory support to Rust-Oleum's international business.
The international business encompasses the entire range of our company's products, including paints, coatings, and cleaners.
This position involves reviewing chemicals, product formulations, and labels to ensure global compliance.
In addition, this position serves as Rust-Oleum's lead for chemical registrations for import into various countries.
Responsibilities include communicating with sales teams, suppliers, and consultants, completion and maintenance of chemical registrations, and proactively staying informed about and implementing emerging regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide global compliance support to sales teams in multiple regions such as Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin/Central America, Middle East, and Africa
Support new product launches by reviewing chemical/supplier information for global compliance and authoring compliant Safety Data Sheets using Product Vision software and provide label requirements
Review existing product lines for global compliance
Work with suppliers to register chemicals to allow company's products to enter new marketplaces
Renew/maintain and complete periodic reporting for existing registrations
Track global regulations that will impact Rust-Oleum's products
Classify products for transportation according to DOT, IMDG, and IATA regulation
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
B.S.
in science or engineering
Experience with international regulations
At least 3 years related experience
Able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneously
Works well under pressure
