An award-winning law firm based in North Leeds is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their expanding Clinical Negligence Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual to play a key role in the continued growth and success of a highly regarded firm.
Reporting directly to the Head of Clinical Negligence, you will manage your own caseload of Claimant Clinical Negligence matters from instruction through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to settlement, including both pre and post-litigation matters.
- Deliver high standards of client care and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Conduct investigations, obtain expert evidence, and assess liability and quantum.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, and other relevant legal documentation.
- Negotiate settlements efficiently and effectively in the best interests of clients.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience handling Claimant Clinical Negligence claims.
- Strong litigation experience and sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and the Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes.
- Proven ability to manage complex claims from start to finish.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
- Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving targets and KPIs.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Proclaim case management software.
- Previous involvement in training or mentoring junior team members.
- Experience or interest in working alongside marketing to expand the department.

Here is what you can expect:
Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Operate and maintain high and low-pressure boilers
Operation and maintain air cooled chillers.
Operate various air handling systems, including process
Perform preventative maintenance on various systems
Perform air balance calculation on air handling systems
Diagnosis and troubleshoot
Steam Boiler systems

Required Experience:
High school diploma or GED certificate
Certified experience in HVAC and or Boiler Operation.
5 years experience in pipe fitting, welding and fabrication.

Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
Learn all manual tasks performed within the department.
Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures.

The primary result expected from the Material Handler is to efficiently, accurately, and safely process customer orders by filling them from stored merchandise in accordance with specifications on pick tickets, and by verifying and maintaining documentation on incoming and outgoing shipments.
Tasks PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Direct spouts and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers so they can be loaded.
Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
