Our established client is looking for a skilled Machine Tool Engineer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands, within a reasonable commute of their Nuneaton office.
The ideal candidate should have experience in installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing CNC or Manual metal cutting machinery, with skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
This is a practical role requiring both technical knowledge and strong customer service in different industrial settings.
Other job titles could include: Machine Tool Engineer, CNC Service Engineer, CNC Maintenance Engineer, Machine Tool Maintenance or similar.
The Role - Machine Tool Fitter:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC and Manual metal cutting machines to keep them running smoothly.
- Fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in the workshop or at customer sites.
- Replace faulty parts (motors, gears, belts, electrical components)
- Install/ fit new parts.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and on-site help.
- Offer advice on machine performance, efficiency, and upgrades.
- Work with clients to ensure machines meet their needs and provide high-quality service.
- Keep detailed records of service visits, repairs, and maintenance.
- Write reports for customers on work completed, parts replaced, and machine performance.
- Follow safety rules and industry standards during maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure machines meet safety standards and run efficiently to avoid breakdowns and accidents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing support and advice.
Key Candidate Requirements - Machine Tool Fitter:
- CNC service, breakdown or maintenance experience
- Experience stripping down gearboxes, spindles, and/or cross-lighting machines
- CNC machine tools/metal cutting experience
- BTEC Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machine tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks.

The Role of Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
- Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for providing planned and preventative maintenance, as well as reactive for all equipment, grounds and fabric within the hospital.
- You will analyse faulty equipment through to onsite repairs and liaise closely with specialist contractors.
- You will be responsible for identifying and initiating action, either directly or via contractors, on all repairs required, in the event of a breakdown or defect.
- Carrying out general plumbing and pipe-fitting duties.
- Change of air-conditioning filters and belts and cleaning of grease filters.
- Service of ballcocks, tap washers and shower mixers.
- Carry out repairs to building fabrics including some decorating and carpentry.
- You will input relevant data following PPM actions into the planning record system to ensure accurate records are maintained.
- To carry out or coordinate any minor alterations (e.g.
refurbishment, redecoration) to the building as and when required.
- Ensure stock levels of engineering items and consumables are kept at a satisfactory level.
Key Requirements - Facilities Maintenance Engineer:
- Must hold an apprenticeship or qualification in Building Services such as Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC or similar
- Must have a minimum of 1 years of experience within a Building Services or facilities maintenance position within a healthcare environment
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential

Mechanical Design Engineer
Located in Essex
up to £50k DOE + Benefits
Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? My Client is looking for someone to join their existing team to work on Design projects as part of a team and individually.
The design role will cover jobs from quick modifications to large scale Design Projects as well as R&D projects including creating all working drawings, assembly sketches and bills of materials.
On occasion you will be required to attend customer sites to partake in loading trials to evaluate designs.
This role will suit a highly motivated person who has a broad skill set and has excellent and effective communication skills.
The Role:
- Validation of Design and specification
- Checking and approving of component and assembly drawings
- Set up manufacturing bills of materials and parts lists
- Create and issue engineering detail and assembly drawings for production release.
- Technical reporting and tolerance analysis
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Degree/equivalent qualification or HNC and proven experience in Mechanical Engineering Design.
- Have current experience and the ability to design in Autocad 2D and Autodesk Inventor 3D format
- Experienced in standard methods of steel component fabrications and good engineering practice and a sound knowledge of welded fabrications
- Ability to calculate stresses and approve designs for manufacture (first principals is basic requirements)
- A good understanding of hydraulics, electrics, pneumatic systems and their installations.
- Be familiar with current C & U regulations and EU directives (Not essential)
