Mechanical Technician
Hayes - £30k
Double day shift pattern (early and lates alternating)
We are seeking a dedicated Disassembly Technician to join the production team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the careful disassembly of components, ensuring everything is handled to a high standard without causing damage.
You will collaborate with the team to meet departmental deadlines and prepare parts for subsequent operations, ensuring they are properly identified and protected.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Disassemble components according to manufacturer instructions.- Prevent additional damage and communicate needed improvements to tooling and processes with the team.- Work to tight deadlines and manage personal and company tools.- Maintain high housekeeping standards.- Report any damage to the Leading Hand/Team Leader for further investigation and improvement.- Embrace an open reporting culture and participate in team dialog meetings.- Conduct missing and damaged inspections.
Experience and Knowledge
- Preferred but not essential: Served an apprenticeship in a mechanical assembly/disassembly environment.- Knowledge and experience using hand tools.- Good understanding and awareness of PPE.- Previous experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is advantageous.- Experience in an aerospace environment is preferred but not essential.
