Young Adults Speech and Language Therapist - Complex needs - Permanent

Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions.

We are currently looking band 5 or band 6 Speech and Language Therapist based at a special education college in Yate.

About the role:
As a Young Adults Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice.

Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service.

Your main responsibilities as a Young Adults Speech and Language Therapist:

- Develop and deliver Speech and Language Therapy programmes to  young adults with complex speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
- Supporting peers and the Head of Therapies, being an effective Team Member whilst working on own initiative.
- Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with internal and external colleagues.
- Attending and participating in team meetings as well as review meetings of cases on own case load.

What we are looking for in a Young Adults Speech and Language Therapist:

- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Must be HCPC and RCSLT registered.
- Commitment to learning and unlearning in relation to the SLT role within Neurodiversity Affirming support
