About the role/school

Teach Plus are working with a vibrant 3-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest who are seeking a dedicated PPA/Intervention Teacher to join their team from October.

The school is known for its supportive staff, engaging curriculum, and focus on pupil progress and wellbeing.

As a PPA/Intervention Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach across different year groups, delivering high-quality lessons and targeted interventions to raise attainment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable and enthusiastic PPA/Intervention Teacher who enjoys variety and working across multiple classes.



Job Responsibilities

As a PPA/Intervention Teacher, you will:




  • Provide PPA cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.




  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects.




  • Plan and deliver small group and 1:1 intervention sessions to support pupil progress.




  • Collaborate with class teachers and support staff to ensure consistency and continuity of learning.




  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress, identifying areas for development.




  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.




  • Contribute to the wider life of the school as a valued PPA/Intervention Teacher.





Qualifications/Experience

To be successful as a PPA/Intervention Teacher, you will need:




  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)




  • Previous experience as a PPA/Intervention Teacher or classroom teacher across primary year groups




  • Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to differentiate learning




  • Excellent communication and organisational skills




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
