Technical:
Design electrical systems, including control panels, generator controllers, UPS, and electrical distribution.
Support both LV and HV applications, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and CDM regulations.
Create and manage electrical schematics using CAD software.
Ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements.
Conduct FAT/SAT testing and on-site commissioning.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
Plan and schedule design projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
Manage scope changes and identify potential profit opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to meet project goals and maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications and requirements for the (Electrical Design Engineer)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Manager to lead and continuously improve the quality systems within our Apprenticeships provision.
This pivotal role ensures that our programmes meet and exceed the standards set by awarding bodies, regulatory organisations, and internal quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
Act as Centre Coordinator for multiple awarding organisations (e.g.
EAL, Pearson, City & Guilds, ILM).
Serve as the main liaison with awarding bodies, managing all compliance, monitoring, and accreditation activities.
Oversee the BTEC and workshop IQA processes.
Support the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) team in identifying cost efficiencies.
Ensure delivery meets Ofsted, awarding body, and internal quality standards.
Develop, implement, and review quality assurance policies and documentation.
Manage learner registration, certification, and records in line with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and lead standardisation meetings to maintain consistency and best practices.
Monitor and review assessment and verification processes, including Assessor and IQA observations.
Maintain accurate, auditable records for all quality assurance and certification activities.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to curriculum managers and delivery teams, ensuring compliance with the latest teaching and learning standards.
Person Specification
Proven experience in a technical/engineering setting.
Strong background in education, particularly in Apprenticeships and Higher Education.
Demonstrated experience liaising with awarding organisations and regulatory bodies.
In-depth understanding of Ofsted, awarding body regulations, and sector compliance.
Skilled in the design and execution of robust quality assurance systems.
Exceptional communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Manager (Laboratory) leverages expertise to execute and direct projects across technology platforms while striving to improve efficiencies of involved processes.

Presents information instructionally, demonstratively, and persuasively to Influence tactical and strategic discussions amongst peers and management effectively.
Assures and validates proper documentation of responsible technical and/or experimental activities.
Explores conceptual ideas relating to the refinement of test protocols to improve process efficiency or the creation of new processes to support product development and/or regulatory demands.
Guide, coach, and mentor direct reports, both Supervisors and individual contributors, in achieving defined goals while providing developmental opportunities.
Collaboratively engages stakeholders to guide development or overcome challenges.
Acts as a liaison between third party test facilities (UL, FM, etc.) and the company.
Excellent presentation skills for tours.
Oversees maintenance of all equipment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: 4-year degree inBuilding Science, Construction Science and Management, or Engineering or related.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
5+ years' experience
Experience with UL, FM and ASTM building products.
Preferred fire testing experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $102,199 and $127,748 plus a bonus opportunity.
