JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects associated with a construction-related project.
This will include, but not be limited to, General Contracting projects, larger-scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, TremCares, etc.
This will involve working with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician assigned to the project to ensure the project is effectively executed, completed safely, and all contractual obligations are adhered to.
Additional duties will include participating in onsite meetings, scope of work development, proposal review, specification review, completion of project schedules, assembling project submittals, obtaining building permits, project closeout documents, and other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for contributing to and validating proposals and specifications.
Conceptual Phase (specification development, establishment of milestone dates) Program Planning Phase Design Phase Conduct Pre-Proposal Meetings Proposal Phase Construction PhasE Conduct Pre-Construction Effective Close-out Cost Estimates and Schedules Use of ebuilder for all project documentation per policy manual. Assist the Construction Manager in tracking project costs, budget variances, and profitability. Accountable for Quality Assurance. Ensure subcontractor has submitted the required documents. Establish timelines and goals. Manage key metrics and report on as required. When needed, coordinate with Program Managers, Project Administrators, Project Estimators, Specification Writers, Sales Representatives, and RBM. Assist in the review of submitted proposals and contractor interviews for specification and contractual compliance. Review of line-item generated proposal documents. Direct Project Superintendents as needed. Specification Development Stage: Works with the Construction Manager and Sales Representative to establish a scope of work for the project. Completion of specification request and related documents. Responsible for specification review as required by the Construction Manager. Pre-Proposal Stage: Conducts Pre-Proposal Meeting and distributes completed Pre-Proposal Meeting documentation to all applicable parties. Assist the Construction Manager in reviewing proposals. Prepare Proposal Documents as directed by the Construction Manager. Pre-Construction Stage: Publish Project Schedule. Assists the Construction Manager in planning and coordinating the Pre-Construction Meeting. Engages with the Project Superintendent to provide necessary project information. Conducts Pre-Construction Meeting and distributes completed Pre-Construction Meeting documentation to all applicable parties. Obtain a Building Permit when required. Construction Stage: Review Daily Inspection Forms and ensure they are distributed to all applicable parties and uploaded into project files. Visits the job site as necessary or directed by the Construction Manager. Conduct weekly Progress Meetings, virtual or onsite, and distribute meeting minutes to all applicable parties.
Maintain the Project Schedule and update it weekly. Perform site audits as appropriate. Review subcontractor payment requests with the Construction Manager. Assemble AIA billing applications for the Construction Manager's review and approval. Assist Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, Subcontractor, Owner, or Sales Representative as needed. Close Out Stage: Assist the Construction Manager in coordinating the final inspection. Ensure all required documents are uploaded into the project files. Tremco is currently looking for a Field Services Safety Engineer.
General Purpose:
The Field Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing support and safety oversight to regional Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies field employees (including but not limited to Sales, Roofing Advisors, CSS, Field Resource Representatives, and leadership), ensuring site compliance with corporate and client safety standards, as well as ensuring site safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
This position will provide supervision and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements of jobsites.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide support to projects by maintaining a visible presence and conducting site visits to perform safety audits and safety process audits (e.g., safety document evaluation/compliance)
*this should take place at least 80% of the week
* Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner and Tremco regulations throughout all Roofing regional projects. Assist site leadership to develop site-specific safety programs aligned with Tremco Field Services Safety policies and instruct supervisors on safety procedures, planning and equipment. Assist Regional Field Safety Managers with rolling out new safety initiatives and briefing employees as needed on new policies, or changes in existing policies, to keep current (e.g., Daily Task Planning, 100% audit compliance, safety training programs) Educate the workforce and regional leadership on understanding Tremco's safety cultural advancements, such as safety leadership and safety management systems. Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of Tremco Health and Safety programs in the field, to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met. Participate with and/or conduct Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees. Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance. Effectively represent our Tremco safety culture with our subcontractors and help Tremco site leadership to ensure complete compliance of our subcontractors to applicable rules and regulations (Federal, State, local, owner, Tremco and their own). Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure safety practices and policies are being adhered to effectively. As a direct report to, regularly communicate safety audit results and/or field safety concerns (e.g., Stop Work Authority) with Assistant Safety Director and prepare observation reports as needed. Regularly audit the Site-Specific Safety and Health Plans for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions. Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately per the Tremco Incident Notification Policy. Participate and assist all field leadership in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary. Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed. Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field. Must adhere to all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ Years of Construction experience with high school diploma. Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required. OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification required. Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations. Working Knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit a Daily Task Analysis for Employees and Subcontractors. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.
You will be home every weekend.

This will involve working with the superintendent or technicians assigned to the project to ensure delivery is on time and within budget, as well as selecting and managing all subcontractors.

Proper letter notification to non-compliant subcontractor agreement articles, i.e., no waivers of lien for lower tier subs, missing submittals, etc. Set project timelines and goals. Manage key metrics and report on a regular basis or as required. Coordinate work with Program Managers, sales and service support, customer management (WTI and Tremco Roofing), and resource management. Participate in the preventive and corrective action process with responsibility and authority to: Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to service, process, and quality. Identify and record any service, process, or quality system problems. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Review all bids received and conduct contractor interviews for specification and contractual compliance. Approve Proposals for submission (i.e.
pricing, specification, scope). Direct Project Manager, technicians, and superintendents. Sign-off on project billings. Responsible for change order negotiation and approval.

Specification Development Stage:
Select the WTI Superintendent for the project. Responsible for specification detail drawings approval.
Signing off on Specifications shall be required by the Division Manager, Construction Manager, and Tremco Sales Rep.
Pre-Bid Stage:
Conducts Pre-Bid Meeting, agenda outlines the required format of the Pre-Bid Meeting.
Document responses from Pre-Bid Meeting minutes are documented or audio recorded and compiled into meeting minutes on the form Receives and processes Pre-Bid Meeting Agenda and Sign-In form.
Forwards published copies to local Tremco Rep, Superintendent, Facility Contact, and Roofing Subcontractor.
Bidding Stage:
Publishes, approves, and distributes Addendum (where applicable) Receives and reviews bids and agreements
Pre-construction Stage:
Provides established Project Schedule Assists Superintendent in planning and coordinating the Pre-Construction Meeting Provides superintendent with necessary subcontractor information from Bid Form site-specific safety plans, certificates, etc, prior to the Pre-Construction meeting Conducts and processes completed Pre-Construction Meeting documentation and distributes to all applicable parties
Construction Stage:

Proficient written and oral communication skills. Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel/work remotely 80% or greater.
