Senior Claims Handler

Our Client, a highly reputable law firm, are looking to recruit a Senior Claims Handler to join their office in central Leeds.

The role will involve handling a caseload of pre-litigated employers liability, public liability and property damage claims from the point of instruction through to trial.

This is a hybrid role, the other half of which spent dealing with team lead/ mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Handling a caseload of pre-litigated ELPL, product liability and property damage claims valued up to £50,000.


• Managing, mentoring, training and developing of junior colleagues.


• Drafting correspondence, and speaking to clients and third parties by phone, providing expert legal advice and regular updates.


• Negotiating settlement, reaching the best possible outcome for clients.


• Dealing with complex liability and quantum issues.

Requirements:

• 5 years' claims handling experience, ideally within ELPL and property damage.


• Ideally some mentoring or team leading experience.
