Private Client Fee Earner

The Role


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client fee earner to take on a key role within a busy and supportive department.

You will manage a broad range of private client matters including probate, wills, inheritance tax planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, while also having the chance to contribute to more complex areas such as Court of Protection and Trusts.

The role also offers the chance to mentor colleagues and actively support the department's ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities



  • Managing a diverse caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, LPA, and inheritance tax planning.

  • Providing clear, commercially aware advice tailored to client needs.

  • Maintaining excellent client relationships through proactive communication.

  • Collaborating with colleagues and mentoring junior team members.

  • Ensuring compliance with firm procedures, including accurate billing and record-keeping.

  • Travelling to client meetings and external appointments as required.



About you



  • You'll bring at least 5 years of private client experience, with a proven ability to manage complex cases and develop business.

  • You are well-organised, detail-oriented, and thrive when working under pressure.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to connect easily with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals.

  • A full driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.
