Our client is a hospitality organization that owns and operates a portfolio of thoughtfully curated hotels, delivering distinctive guest experiences across select-service and lifestyle properties.

They are currently seeking a Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations for a luxury hotel in New York City, playing a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial leadership.

This role offers the opportunity to support an iconic, service-driven property within a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment

Respinsibilities:

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership and ownership.
• Oversee the general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close while ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and strong internal controls.
• Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including preparation and filing of required returns.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective policies, procedures, and oversight of insurance coverage and claims.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with financial systems and software, paired with clear, effective communication and interpersonal skills
