About the Role/School

We are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, state-funded co-educational primary free school in Kilburn.

Catering for children aged 4 to 11, this one-form entry school offers one class per year group, creating a close-knit community where every child is treated as an individual.


As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work within a nurturing environment that provides a broad, balanced curriculum enriched by subject specialists in art, music, and physical education.

The school is also enhanced with excellent facilities, including an art room, library, and ICT suite.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to make a real difference in a supportive, inclusive setting.



Job Responsibilities

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:




  • Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.




  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons and activities that promote academic, social, and emotional development.




  • Collaborate with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure personalised support.




  • Encourage positive behaviour and help foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.




  • Support children in accessing the full curriculum and enrichment opportunities available.





Qualifications/Experience


  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
